AICTE QIP 2026 Registration Open for Full-Time Master’s and PhD Courses; Complete Information Inside: The application link for Master’s and PhD programmes under the AICTE QIP 2026-27 cycle is now live. Candidates who wish to enrol in the AICTE QIP 2026 Master’s and PhD programmes can check complete details below.


AICTE QIP 2026 Application: The Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education, Prof. Yogesh Singh, has formally announced the commencement of full-time Master’s and PhD programmes under the Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) for the academic session 2026-27. To streamline the application and admission procedure for AICTE Master’s and PhD courses, an exclusive online QIP portal has also been introduced. Eligible and interested faculty members can submit their applications online until April 30 at qip.aicte.gov.in.

The primary objective of QIP is to enhance the academic expertise, instructional capabilities, and research proficiency of faculty members serving in degree and diploma institutions across the country. Through AICTE QIP 2026, educators will gain advanced subject knowledge along with updated teaching methodologies. This initiative is expected to elevate the overall standards of technical education and significantly improve classroom learning outcomes for students.

Eligibility Criteria for AICTE QIP 2026 Master's and PhD Programs

Applicants should note that only full-time, regular, or permanent faculty members are eligible to apply.

For Master’s Degree (2 Years)

  • At least one year of teaching experience at the polytechnic level

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree

For Ph.D. Programme (3 Years)

  • At least three years of teaching experience

  • A relevant Master’s degree

AICTE QIP 2026 Master's and PhD Programs Financial Assistance

Candidates selected under the programme will receive financial aid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT):

  • INR 9,000 per month for Master’s students

  • INR 15,000 per month for PhD scholars

  • Additional annual contingency grant for academic-related expenses

AICTE QIP 2026 Master's and PhD Application Process

The selection procedure for AICTE QIP 2026 Master’s and PhD programmes involves multiple stages of screening. Applications will be reviewed by the Nodal QIP Centre at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur along with other designated QIP institutions. Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend interviews or written tests at their preferred centres.

Important Requirements for AICTE QIP 2026 Master's and PhD Program

Applicants must:

  • Possess a valid AICTE Faculty ID

  • Submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent institution

  • Provide Aadhaar details

  • Select up to three programme choices

If a candidate is selected for more than one programme, they will have the option to choose the most suitable one and enrol accordingly.

Candidates are required to upload the following documents:

  • Photograph and Signature

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Experience Certificate

  • Marksheet of classes 10th, 12th and Graduation

  • Class 12th pass certificate

  • Master’s marksheet and Certificate

  • GATE Certificate, if applicable

  • NET UGC/CSIR certificate, if applicable

  • JRF UGC/CSIR certificate, if applicable

  • Category Certificate (Mandatory for SC/ST/OBC)
