GPAT 2026 Exam Overview
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2026 on March 7, 2026. This entrance test serves as the gateway for admission into postgraduate pharmacy programmes offered by institutions across India.
GPAT is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) courses. The exam will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode and will have a duration of 180 minutes. The question paper will include topics from subjects such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutics, and several other pharmacy-related disciplines.
The registration process concluded in January 2026, and the GPAT 2026 admit card was issued on March 2, 2026. Thousands of candidates across the country are expected to take the examination. GPAT 2026 Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates appearing for the GPAT 2026 examination must follow the instructions given below:
- Students must carry the GPAT 2026 admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre.
- Candidates should reach the exam centre before the gate closing time to avoid any inconvenience.
- Electronic devices, including mobile phones, calculators, and other gadgets, are strictly prohibited inside the exam centre.
- Candidates who fail to follow the prescribed exam-day guidelines may face disqualification from the examination.

Candidates are advised to reach the examination venue at least one hour before the reporting time mentioned on their GPAT 2026 admit card. Those who arrive after the entry closing time will not be permitted to enter the examination premises.
The GPAT 2026 exam patternconsists of 125 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). According to the marking scheme, four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.
