IIM Calcutta Achieves Complete MBA Placements 2026; Top Salary Touches INR 145 LPA: The latest placement drive at IIM Calcutta has showcased continued strong industry demand for MBA graduates. IIM Calcutta MBA Placement 2026: The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM C) has successfully completed placements for its MBA programmes for the year 2026 with a 100% placement record. In the institute’s 61st MBA cohort, 458 students participated in the placement process, with 202 recruiterstaking part. Altogether, students secured 542 job offers during the 2026 placement season.

The highest international salary package offered stood at INR 110.16 lakh per annum, while thehighest domestic package reached INR 145 lakh per annum this year.

Recruiter participation increased by 3%, and the average salary rose by 5.05% year-on-year, reaching INR 36 lakh per annum, indicating sustained corporate demand for MBA talent.


IIM Calcutta Placement 2026 Details

The consulting sectorgenerated the highest number of offers, totaling 206 offers, with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) emerging as the leading recruiter in management consulting. Accenture Strategy led recruitment in the strategy consulting segment, while American Express remained the top recruiter in the payments and card domain.

Other consulting firms participating in the placement process included EY-Parthenon, Kearney, Alvarez & Marsal, Bain & Company, PwC, Tata Consultancy Services, Vector Consulting Group, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, Monitor Deloitte, and YCP Auctus, among others.

More than 100 offerswere made across investment banking, venture capital, private equity, asset management, and wealth management roles. Companies participating in these domains included Avendus Capital, Bank of America, Citigroup, D. E. Shaw & Co., Ambit Capital, Arga Investment Management, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, Edelweiss Financial Services, O3 Capital, Rothschild & Co, Standard Chartered, Neo Asset & Wealth Management, Kotak Alternate Asset Managers, Kotak Mahindra Capital, and UBS.

An official from IIM Calcutta, as quoted by media reports, stated that the recruitment season witnessed significant growth in consulting and product management roles, while the overall sector-wise hiring pattern remained broadly consistent with last year. Participation from both new recruiters and long-standing partner firms highlighted strong employer confidence across industries.

The marketing domain also recorded active participation from companies such as Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC Limited, AB InBev, Colgate-Palmolive, Dabur, and Procter & Gamble, among others.
