Army Agniveer 2026 Online Application Window Activated
The Indian Army has officially opened the online application portal for Agniveer Recruitment 2026 starting February 13 at joinindianarmy.nic.in. Recruitment of Agniveers will be carried out under the Agnipath Scheme, which offers young aspirants across India a chance to serve in the Army for a four-year tenure without long-term service commitment.
Under this recruitment drive, nearly 25,000 vacancies will be filled for posts including General Duty, Technical, Clerk, Storekeeper, and Tradesmen. Selected candidates will serve in the Army for four years. Both unmarried male and female applicants between 17.5 and 21 years of age are eligible to apply. Candidates are advised to thoroughly review the official notification before submitting their forms to ensure they meet all eligibility requirements.

How to Apply for Indian Army Agniveer 2026
Applicants must complete the online registration process through the official website of the Indian Army. Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Visit the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
Step 2:Scroll down and select the ‘Agniveer Apply/Login’ option
Step 3:Complete registration if you are a new user, or log in using your existing username and password
Step 4: Enter all required details, pay the application fee, and submit the form
Step 5:Download the completed application form
Step 6: Print a copy for future reference
Indian Army Agniveer Application Fee
Applicants must pay an examination fee of ₹250 per application category for the online examination. After completing the form submission, candidates will be redirected to the HDFC payment portal via a link on the website. At the HDFC portal, candidates need to pay ₹250 plus applicable bank charges.
The application fee can be paid through the following modes:
- Payment Gateway facility using Maestro, MasterCard, VISA, and RuPay cards (credit/debit) of major banks
- Internet banking of HDFC and other banks
- UPI
Army Agniveer Age Criteria & Marital Status
- Candidates aged between 17.5 years and 21 years are eligible to apply.
- Only unmarried male and female candidates can enrol as Agniveers.
- Selected candidates must provide an undertaking that they will not marry during the four-year engagement period.
Army Agniveer Educational Qualification

Indian Army Agniveer 2026: Scheme Overview
Candidates recruited through the Agnipath Scheme will receive an in-hand salary of ₹21,000 in the first year, which will increase annually. In addition to the salary, Agniveers will receive a ₹10,04,000 Seva Nidhi package upon completion of four years of service.
After the four-year tenure, up to 25% of Agniveers may be offered permanent enrolment based on organisational requirements.
