Indian Army Agniveer 2026 Vacancy and Eligibility Criteria

Applicants can apply for various positions including Agniveer (General Duty), Agniveer (Tech), Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, Agniveer Tradesmen, and Agniveer (General Duty) Women in Corps of Military Police. The educational qualifications required for each post are detailed below:

Agniveer General Duty (All Arms)

Class 10th/Matric with 45% aggregate marks in five main subjects and at least 33% in each subject. For boards following a grading system, equivalent grades corresponding to the required percentages will be considered.

Agniveer (Tech) (All Arms)

10+2/Intermediate pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 40% in each subject.

OR

10+2/Intermediate pass in Science with the above subjects from a recognized State/Central Education Board (including NIOS) along with a minimum one-year ITI course in the relevant field with NSQF Level 4 or above.

OR

10th/Matric pass with 50% aggregate and 40% each in English, Maths, and Science, along with 2 years of technical training from ITI or 2/3 years Diploma from a recognized institution including polytechnics in the streams mentioned in the notification.

Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical (All Arms)

10+2/Intermediate pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science) with 60% aggregate marks and 50% in each subject. Scoring 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keepingin Class XII is compulsory.

Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms) – 10th Pass

(i) Class 10th simple pass.
(ii) No requirement for aggregate percentage, but candidates must have secured 33% in each subject.

Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms) – 8th Pass

(i) Class 8th simple pass.
(ii) No requirement for aggregate percentage, but candidates must have secured 33% in each subject.

Agniveer (General Duty) Women in Corps of Military Police

Class 10th/Matric with 45% aggregate marks and 33% in each subject. For boards with grading systems, a D grade (33%–40%) in individual subjects and an overall C2 grade (equivalent to 45% aggregate) will be accepted.
