NIT Trichy MBA Admission 2026: Application Date Extended Till March 23; Submit Form at www.nitt.edu : State-issued Backward Community (BC) or Most Backward Community (MBC) certificates are not considered valid for the OBC-NCL category.


The Department of Management Studies (DoMS) at National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli has extended the application deadline for admission to its 48th MBA batch. Recognised as an Institute of National Importance and the highest-ranked B-School among all NITs in the National Institutional Ranking Framework rankings, the institute offers a reputed two-year full-time MBA programme.

Applicants who appeared for Common Admission Test 2025 are eligible to apply. The admission procedure involves shortlisting candidates based on CAT scores along with their undergraduate academic performance, followed by an offline personal interview round. For the 2026 admission cycle, personal interviews are tentatively planned in Noida/Delhi NCR, Nagpur, Kolkata, Chennai, and Tiruchirappalli.

Candidates should have secured at least 60% marks (6.5 CGPA) in their undergraduate degree for the General/OBC-NCL/EWS category, while those belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories must have a minimum of 55% marks (6.0 CGPA). If the mark sheet includes both CGPA and percentage, the institute will consider only the CGPA, and conversion between CGPA and percentage will not be allowed.

GEN-EWS and OBC-NCL certificates must be issued between April 2025 and March 2026. Certificates issued by states under the BC or MBC categories will not be accepted for the OBC-NCL category. Candidates are not required to send a physical copy of the application form to the institute.

Students currently in the final year of their undergraduate programme are also eligible to apply, provided they fulfil all eligibility requirements at the time of admission. The institute will verify original documents during physical reporting. The DoMS programme offers a choice-based elective system, an affordable fee structure, and access to a global alumni network developed over the past 47 years.
