The tier of a college is decided by multiple parameters, not just one or two. Think about it—when do you actually call a college “good”? A college is considered good when it offers a healthy learning environment, strong placement opportunities, quality research facilities, and is situated in a good city.
Why does location matter?
Because a good city provides better exposure, more job and internship
opportunities, stronger industry connections, and, most importantly, a better
overall reputation.
When all these factors come
together, that’s what defines a Tier 1 college.
Based on how well a college meets these parameters, it is categorized as Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3.
