TNTET Apply Online 2026
The Teachers Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu has released a notification inviting applications from teachers currently serving in government, government-aided, and private schools across the state. The eligibility cut-off date is 01 September 2025, which means only those teachers who joined service before this date can apply for the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test 2026.
The online registration process began on 18 February 2026 and will continue until 10 April 2026. Candidates are encouraged to complete their applications well before the deadline and begin preparation accordingly. The TNTET 2026 examination for working teachers is scheduled to be conducted on 04 and 05 July 2026.
The TNTET 2026 examination includes two papers:
- Paper I – For Primary Level Teachers (Classes 1 to 5)
- Paper II – For Upper Primary Level Teachers (Classes 6 to 8)

Steps to Apply for TN TET 2026 (Working Teachers)
Candidates who intend to appear for the TN TET 2026 exam and have not yet registered should complete the process immediately, as today is the final date for submission. Follow the step-by-step procedure below:
1. Visit the official TN TRB website: www.trb.tn.gov.in
2. Click on the “Apply Online” option available on the homepage.
3. A new page will display the application links for TNTET Paper I and TNTET Paper II. Working teachers may apply for either one paper or both, as per their eligibility and preference.
4. Complete the registration process using your valid email ID and mobile number to generate login credentials.
5. Log in using the generated credentials and select the desired paper (Paper I and/or Paper II).
6. Fill in all required information accurately, including personal, academic, and contact details.
7. Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
8. Pay the required application fee online using net banking, debit/credit card, UPI, or other available payment options.
9. Submit the application form and download or print the confirmation page for future reference.
TNTET Application Fee 2026
Candidates applying for TNTET Paper I and Paper II must pay the examination fee separately for each paper if applying for both. The fee must be paid in online mode only.
- General / OBC: ₹600 per paper
- SC / SCA / ST / PwD: ₹300 per paper
