UGC NET 2026 Cut-Off Scores Announced: Access Subject & Category-Wise Qualifying Marks PDF: UGC NET Cut-Off Marks 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the cut-off marks for the Union Grants Commission–National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2025 session on 04 February. The cut-off has been issued along with the UGC NET Result on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates who took the UGC NET December examination can download the cut-off marks for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 from here.


UGC NET Cutoff Marks 2026 PDF

The qualifying cut-off marks have been released for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and PhD admission. These represent the minimum scores required to be considered eligible for these positions in universities and colleges across India. Candidates achieving the prescribed minimum cut-off are declared qualified.

UGC NET Cut Off 2026

Candidates can download their UGC NET Scorecard by entering their application number and date of birth. After downloading, they can verify total marks, subject-wise marks, percentile scores, and qualification status. It is important to retain the scorecard for future reference.

The examination was conducted in 85 subjects across 283 cities, witnessing participation from 7,35,614 candidates out of 9,93,702 registered applicants. Data indicates a significant female participation rate, making up nearly 59% of total registrations.

Regarding results:

  • 5,108 candidates qualified for JRF and Assistant Professor

  • 54,713 qualified for Assistant Professor and PhD admission

  • 1,17,058 qualified for PhD admission only

The report also highlights strict security arrangements, including more than 41,500 CCTV cameras and 52,500 jammers, ensuring a transparent and secure examination process.

UGC NET December Exam Overview

The UGC NET December session was conducted nationwide between 31 December and 07 January for 85 subjects in online mode. The provisional answer key was released on 14 January, with objections accepted until 17 January. Lakhs of aspirants appeared in the examination.
