Assam Releases Revised Round 3 NEET PG Counselling Schedule 2026: Dates, Process & Eligibility: Guwahati, Assam. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has published a revised timeline for the NEET PG 2025 Round 3 online counselling under the Assam State Quota for admission into vacant postgraduate medical seats. This update comes after the earlier Round 3 session was postponed following directives from the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Government of India.

The revised counselling schedule applies to Government Medical Colleges of Assam and the Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati, and is being held under the Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (as amended).

Who Can Participate?

Candidates who:

  • Appeared in NEET PG 2025 conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE);

  • Secured the revised cut-off score for the exam;

  • Have their name and NEET PG roll number included in the Assam state provisional merit list published by DME Assam.

Candidates who registered in previous counselling rounds (Round 1 or Round 2) need not register again. They may directly participate in Round 3 for fresh allotment or change of college/subject.

  • The counselling process is online and candidates must complete each step within the notified dates

  • Registration, choice filling, and choice locking are separate stages and require timely action to remain eligible.

  • Seat allotment results will be published on the DME Assam portal, and candidates must report to the allotted colleges on the specified dates.
