Mumbai: BITS Design School, a part of BITS Pilani, has officially launched the admission process for its four-year, fully residential B.Des (Hons) programme. The application window for the 2026–30 cohort is now active and will remain open until 1 February 2026.
The institute will admit 180 candidates into the new batch. Aspirants can qualify using any of the following entrance examinations: NID DAT (Prelims), UCEED, or the BITS Design Aptitude Test (BITSDAT). Applicants opting for the NID-DAT or UCEED route will be required to provide their respective roll numbers. The BITSDAT, an online one-hour assessment, will be conducted from 31 March to 5 April 2026.
Only candidates who submit their applications by 1 February 2026 will be allowed to upload their entrance exam scores when the portal reopens between 8 April and 12 April 2026. No new applications will be entertained during this score-upload period.
The list of shortlisted applicants will be published on 16 April 2026. This will be followed by portfolio submissions from 16 to 20 April 2026, and online interviews scheduled between 2 May and 12 May 2026. The final admission results will be released on 18 May 2026. All timelines may be revised at the discretion of BITS Design School.
Previous batches at BITSDES have included students from diverse streams such as Science, Commerce, and Arts, across boards including CBSE, ISC, State Boards, IB, and IGCSE.
