Students can now submit applications through the official online portal until midnight of June 7, 2026, giving an additional opportunity to those who faced access issues or had not completed the process earlier. The previous deadline was scheduled to end on June 6, 2026.

The decision was announced after concerns raised by students regarding access to answer books and post-result application services. CBSE stated that the extension has been provided to ensure adequate support and sufficient time for students to complete their submissions.

According to the latest update released by the board, 70,433 applications had been received as of June 4, 2026 through the post-result services system. Among these:

  • 7,413 applications were submitted for verification

  • 63,119 applications were submitted for re-evaluation

CBSE Files Complaint Over Cyberattacks on Result Portal

In a parallel development, CBSE has formally approached the Delhi Police Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations Unit (IFSO) regarding repeated cyberattack attempts targeting the post-result services platform.

The board described the incidents as a series of coordinated and sophisticated cyberattacksintended to disrupt services and inconvenience students during the application process.

CBSE stated that despite the attacks, there was no confirmed data breach, and the platform remained operational under continuous monitoring and protection measures.

CBSE acknowledged cybersecurity and technical support from multiple institutions and agencies including:

  • Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur

  • Indian Institute of Technology Madras

  • Digital India Corporation

  • Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre
