GATE 2026 is being jointly conducted by IISc and all IITs on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. GATE scores are used for postgraduate admissions (M.Tech / M.Sc / PhD) in premier institutions and PSU recruitment across India.
