IIT JAM Counselling Registration 2026
The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay will commence the IIT JAM 2026 counselling registration process online from March 27 (tomorrow). Applicants must log in to the JOAPS portal to complete their IIT JAM counselling registration 2026. Only candidates who have secured the qualifying cutoff marks or higher in their respective categories will be eligible to participate in IIT JAM counselling 2026.
The last date to complete the IIT JAM counselling registration is April 15, 2026. Based on the submitted counselling forms, the first admission list will be published on May 25, 2026. Through this counselling process, over 3000 seats across 105 postgraduate programmes in 22 IITs will be filled. Admissions will be offered in courses such as MSc, MSc Tech, Joint MSc-PhD, dual degree, and integrated PhD programmes.

IIT JAM 2026 Counselling Process
As per the official notification, IIT JAM counselling 2026 will be conducted in four rounds. If seats remain vacant after these rounds, additional rounds may be held.
Candidates who receive an admission offer in any round of IIT JAM counselling must choose one of the following options:
- Accept and Freeze
- Accept with Upgrade
- Reject and Quit
Applicants can also track their admission status by visiting the official website. Those who selected “Accept and Upgrade” in earlier rounds can check their updated seat allotment status online through the portal.
