The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the JEE Main 2026 registration for Session 1 on its official portal, www.jeemain.nta.nic.in . This year, the NTA has introduced a mandatory live-photo capture feature, which candidates must use during the application process. Additionally, the exam centre for JEE Main 2026 will be assigned based on the candidate’s current or permanent residential address.

Steps to Apply for JEE Main 2026 Session 1

1.    Visit the official website: www.jeemain.nta.nic.in

2.    Click on the link titled “JEE Main 2026 Registration”

3.    Select the option for new candidate registration

4.    Complete the basic registration and generate login credentials

5.    Log in again to fill out the detailed application form

6.    Upload all required documents and pay the application fee

7.    Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference

JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility norms before submitting the application:

  • Applicants must have completed or be appearing in Class 12 in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
  • There is no age limit for appearing in the JEE Main examination.
  • There is no minimum percentage requirement in Class 12 to be eligible for JEE Main.

The NTA will open the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 form correction window from December 1 to 2, 2025, allowing candidates to rectify errors in their submitted application forms.
