This year, NBEMS has issued a strict and unambiguous warning regarding barcode-related errors. Any mistake in barcode entry will be fatal to a candidate’s result. Candidates are required to correctly enter the barcode from their assigned answer booklet into the system before commencing the examination. Once the barcode is submitted, the answer booklet cannot be replaced under any circumstances. NBEMS has clearly stated that no appeals, corrections, or representations will be entertained, and any error will result in automatic rejection and cancellation of the examination result.
Hybrid Mode Rules: Precision Is Mandatory
Under the hybrid examination system, candidates must read the questions on a digital screen and write their responses in the provided barcoded answer booklet. NBEMS has reiterated that absolute accuracy in barcode entry is non-negotiable, underscoring its zero-tolerance policy towards technical lapses.
Mock Test Provided to Minimise Errors
To help candidates familiarise themselves with barcode procedures and examination protocols, NBEMS has made a mock test available online. Candidates are strongly advised to utilise this facility to gain hands-on experience and avoid last-minute mistakes that could seriously jeopardise their results.
Candidate Guidelines: Key Compliance Checks
Before submitting the barcode details, candidates must carefully ensure that:
- The answer booklet contains 50 numbered pages, excluding the cover page.
- All pages carry the same barcode, with no discrepancies or mismatches.
- The booklet is complete and intact, with no torn, damaged, blank, or misprinted pages.
NBEMS has reiterated that any deviation from these instructions will render the answer booklet invalid for evaluation. The Board has also explicitly stated that it will not be responsible for errors arising due to candidate negligence during barcode submission.
Stakes High, Margin for Error Zero
The DNB Final Theory Examination is the final and most critical step in the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) certification process. With results dependent not only on academic merit but also on strict adherence to technical instructions, candidates are cautioned that even a single error can nullify months of rigorous preparation in an instant.
