The advisory was published on January 5, 2026, and primarily highlights the importance of Aadhaar details, disability-related documentation, and category certificates.
Aadhaar Card information must be accurate
NTA has urged all NEET UG 2026 applicants to ensure that their Aadhaar Card details are fully updated and error-free. The information mentioned on the Aadhaar Card must exactly correspond with the details that will be entered in the NEET application form.
Candidates are requested to thoroughly verify the following particulars on their Aadhaar Card:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Photograph
- Address
- Biometric details, wherever applicable
In case of any mismatch or incorrect information, candidates should immediately get the details corrected. Aadhaar updates can be completed through the official Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website at uidai.gov.in or by visiting the nearest Aadhaar enrolment or update centre.
According to NTA, accurate Aadhaar information will help candidates avoid discrepancies, application rejection, or difficulties during subsequent stages of the admission process.

Important notice for candidates with disabilities
Applicants with disabilities have been specifically advised not to use a Unique Disability ID (UDD) Card unless it is valid, updated, and renewed. Submitting an expired or invalid disability card may lead to problems during the document verification process.
Validity of category certificates
Candidates applying under reserved categories must confirm that their category certificates are valid and issued in accordance with the prescribed guidelines. This applies to certificates related to EWS and OBC-NCL categories as well.
Students are advised to keep all required certificates updated and readily available before completing the NEET UG 2026 application form.
The NEET UG 2026 registration schedule and examination dates will be announced shortly on the official websites. Candidates are advised to regularly visit www.nta.ac.in and www.neet.nta.nic.in for the latest announcements and detailed instructions.
