AICTE’s Part-Time B.Tech Course

A part-time B.Tech degree will be treated on par with a full-time degree, as long as the institution has obtained proper approval.
Who Can Apply For Part-Time B.Tech Course?
The basic eligibility criteria for admission into a part-time B.Tech programme include:
- Work Experience: Applicants must have at least 1–2 years of work experience in a registered company or organisation.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess a Diploma (Polytechnic) in a relevant engineering discipline.

JEE Not Required
For part-time or working professional engineering courses, appearing for the Joint Entrance Examination Main is not mandatory. Admissions are generally granted based on merit, professional experience, and sometimes an entrance test or interview conducted by the respective state authorities or universities.
Where Can I Study The Part-time B.Tech Course?
This programme is not available at every engineering college. Only institutions approved by AICTE are permitted to offer it. Additionally, these colleges must have at least 80% occupancy in their regular courses. Approval from the respective state government or technical university is also required.
