TN Health Announces Tentative Schedule for BDS Special Stray Vacancy Round-II Counselling 2025: Complete Details: Chennai, January 2, 2026 — The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME), Tamil Nadu — under the aegis of TN Health — has officially released the tentative schedule for the Special Stray Vacancy Round-II Counselling for admission into Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programmes for the academic session 2025-26.

This counselling round is aimed at filling vacant Government and Management Quota seats in Self-Financing Dental Colleges across the state that remain unfilled after regular counselling rounds.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible :

Candidates who do not currently hold any MBBS or BDS seat in both All India and State Quota counselling.

Not Eligible:

Candidates already admitted to MBBS/BDS seats in any quota.

Aspirants who were allotted a seat in earlier rounds (State Counselling Round-3, Stray Round, Additional Stray or Special Stray Round) but did not join.

Important Guidelines for Candidates

  • Choice Filling must be handled with care — preferences should be carefully prioritized to avoid forfeiting opportunities.
  • Choices can be edited any number of times before locking by January 5, 2026 at noon.
  • After locking, changes are not permitted.

Reporting & Admission Rules

  • Certificate verification will happen at the allotted dental college during reporting.
  • Candidates must bring original documents and scanned copies for verification.
  • Failure to report by the deadline may lead to cancellation of admission without notice.

Security Deposit & Fees

  • All participating candidates are required to pay a non-refundable security deposit of ₹2 Lakhs via the online payment portal.
  • Candidates who fail to join after allotment will forfeit this deposit and may be barred from future counselling for the next academic year.
