Amal Jyothi College of Engineering (Autonomous), Kanjirapally, is the first engineering college in Kerala to obtain NAAC accreditation with A grade, and the first new generation engineering college in the State to secure the prestigious NBA accreditation for prime departments. Amal Jyothi is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram since 2015. During the years 2001-2014, the College was affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. By paying all the hostel fees online you can download the Hostel application form.Hostel admission also should be confirmed after the college admission (if required)Inmates of hostel should have a bank account with internet banking facility. B.Tech Admission Eligibilities

• Nationality: For general category admissions candidates must be citizens of India.
• Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years on 31, December.
• Academic Requirements: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admissions. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry or Computer Science the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science or Biotechnology the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility. Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.
• Entrance Examination: Candidates should qualify (a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II) in the Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala (KEAM) and should be listed in KEAM Rank List or JEE Eligibility.
• Supernumerary quota for Foreign Nationals (FN), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) & Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC): Visiting Visa holders and those who hold a Visa with ‘Housewife’ status are not eligible to sponsor a student. The certificate of employment on company letterhead of either of the parents is required.
• NRI Quota: The Managements are entitled to fill up 15% seats in the NRI category (NRI) by admitting qualified students who are children of Non-Resident Indians. For this, a copy of the visa of the Father / Mother / Sponsor in English is required.

M.Tech Admission Eligibilities

• The candidates shall be Indian Nationals.
• The candidates should have studied the Graduate course in an institution approved by the AICTE/Deemed Universities.
• Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination. For SC/ST candidates, a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient. For Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) students, a minimum of 54% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination is mandatory.
• Candidates, who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfy the following conditions, are eligible for admission:
  They must have valid GATE score.
  A minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination.
  Minimum three years of Professional experience in the field of Specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree.
  
• Candidates who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided he/she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th semester exam (8th semester for B. Arch students). Selection of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree -satisfying clauses V (a) to (d) as applicable

Department of Placement and Training caters for enhancing not only the employability skills of the passing out Amalites but also the overall development of their personality. The dept. organizes on-campus and off-campus recruitments and pre-placement training programmes through Aptitude tests, Group Discussions, Interviews and presentation skills in collaboration with the Dept. of Humanities and the core departments. Mock interviews and GDs are conducted on a regular basis so as to equip final and pre-final year students to face the challenges of the recruitment scenario. Close on the heels of placement drives, the Placement Assistance Cell of each department makes an evaluation of the performance of the students. This objective appraisal enables us to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates and select strategies for improvement. Besides, we extend intensive supportive measures to the rejected candidates.

THEALTH CLUBhe Central Library of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirapally was set up in 2001 to support the educational mission of the College and fulfill the information needs of diverse user communities. In accordance with the objective of the College, the library aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for researchers, the faculty and the student community.

LECTURE HALLS

Ergonomically designed lecture halls of the College reinforce a student-centered style of instruction. The spacious, airy and well-furnished classrooms provide the right atmosphere for developing proper study habits and extending the attention span to the maximum.

HEALTH CLUB

‘A Healthy mind in a Healthy body’ – so goes the adage. The Health Club is home to an ultra modern gymnasium, 2000 square feet in plinth area, catering to the needs of the fitness enthusiasts. The staff and students are free to use the gymnasium, after class hours under the tutelage of professional trainers. The state-of-the-art equipment available includes bench press, peck deck, bicep curl, lateral pulley and body twister machines.

Hostel

One of the star attractions of Amal Jyothi is the excellent hostel facility. The two campus hostels, Santhom for gents and Amala for ladies, are taken care of by dedicated Catholic priests and sisters. There is telephonic access to all rooms and 610 Mbps WiFi Connectivity in the hostel.
