Bharath Niketan Engineering College (BNEC)

Bharath Niketan Engineering College (BNEC) was established in the year 1998, by  Nehru Rural Development (NRD) Education Trust, which was  with an objective of imparting quality technical education for the rural community.  This NRD Educational Trust was founded by Late Shri S.V.Ramani Iyer in the year 1994. the Institution has been providing  stimulating environment for intellectual development, freethinking and personal growth under the able leadership of Managing Chairman Shri S. Mohan, a leading Industrialist of Theni District, Tamilnadu, India. The founder’s dream of building a nonsectarian and affordable educational institution was turned into a reality by the meaningful and innovational direction by the Managing Chairman.  Students are provided with ample learning opportunities for equipping themselves with the technical skills, insights and practical experiences necessary to take up positions of responsibilities in real world.  

Bharath Niketan College of Engineering is located in 20.19 acres of lush green campus in Thimmarasanayakanoor, Andipatti, Theni District in Tamil Nadu, India.

Bharath Niketan Engineering college (BNEC) is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Engineering College.  It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is approved by AICTE.
 
The college presently offers six undergraduate courses and five post graduate courses.  The candidates can choose from a variety of courses offered by the college -  B.E., B.Tech, M.E.. MBA and MCA

BNEC has Faculty who are supportive and easily approachable.  They impart Quality education through practical focus on well course curriculum design. They ensure compulsory attendance and encourage Knowledge Sharing through student interaction. The college also arranges for Internships, Placemenrt training, Industry exposure and overall development.  

The huge BNEC campus is well maintained by the college management. The various facilities offered by the college are well-equiped classrooms, Computer centre, Multi-specialty laboratories, Library, Canteen and cafeteria, Laboratory Facility, Hostel, Air Conditioned Campus, Medical Facility and Sports amenities.

At BNEC the students are provided ample scope to develop leadership qualities, discipline and professionalism required for an Engineers’ professional work.  The students who join BNEC will benefit from the teaching methodology, which blends pedagogy with nuances of practical engineering applications.

Under Graduate Programs:
Government of Tamil Nadu makes admissions to B.E. / B.Tech. Courses of all the affiliated colleges through a common merit list of candidates administered by Anna University, Chennai. Further details on this would be available from T.N. government advertisements in newspapers and at www.annauniv.edu following the publication of results for higher secondary examinations.

Post Graduate Programs:
Admissions to all P.G. courses (M.E, MBA, MCA etc.,) in all affiliated colleges are made by Government of Tamil Nadu through TANCET (Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test) administered by Anna University, Chennai. Further details on this are available at www.annauniv.edu/tancet2013.

Placement - Objectives
To assist students for Industrial Training at the end of Semester.
To arrange Inplant Training, Industrial Visits projects, Guest Lectures and other Industry institute interaction activities.
To upgrade the students communication Skills and Personality Development by inviting experts from outside for Seminars/ Classes

Placements: Almost 90% of the students from our course got placed. The top recruiting company of our college is HCL Technologies. Internships are based on the interest of students, but our college doesn't concern about it. Our college management always concerns about their students.

Sports

Sports activities are given utmost importance. Our students regularly participate in all sports competitions and bring laurels to the institution and themselves.

Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity, when the body is healthy and strong. The Department of Physical Education induces the sprit of sportsmanship in students and encourages them to participate in sports and games in order to learn Discipline, Leadership Quality, Teamwork and to lead a healthy life.

Bnec Campus well developed play fields for the following major outdoor games & sports is provided: Football, Hockey, Cricket, Basket ball, Volley Ball, Ball badminton, Kabaddi, Hand ball and Throw ball.

BNEC-HOSEL
Hostel is an integral part of the college campus. There are separate hostels on the campus for men and women students.

Amenities like tables, chairs, cupboards and fans are provided to individual students. Potable water, wholesome food, indoor and outdoor games, hygienic environment, a reading room and televisions are some of the other facilities available in the hostels.

A mess committee with warden, Dy.warden and student representatives functions to run the mess efficiently and economically.

BNEC-Transport
A full fledged transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. The service is offered ensuring a hassle free and safe transportation.

The college runs, 22 buses for providing transport facility for students from various places Madurai, Thirumangalam, Peraiyur, Theni, Periyakulam, Bathalagundu, Rasingapuram (BODI), Thevaram, V.C.Puram and Cumbum.
