Established in the year 1985, under the T.Thomas Educational Trust, Chevalier, T.Thomas Elizabeth College is a pioneer in self-financing education. It is an exclusive college for women in Perambur – Chennai. The institution believes in empowering women through its holistic education.

The CTTE Trust became a Public Trust in December 2002. Honourable Justice Thiru J. Kanakaraj, Retired Judge, High Court, Madras was appointed by the High Court of Madras as the Chairman of the Trust from 2002. The Trust took charge in 2003 under the Chairmanship of Thiru J. Kanakaraj, Retired Judge, High Court, Madras.

Currently, the Chairman of this prestigious institution is Honourable Justice Thiru. B. Gokuldas, the Managing Trustee & Correspondent is Mr. L. Palamalai, IAS (Retd). The College has completed 38 years of dedicated service in the cause of higher education & has well experienced,committed faculty.

Shortlisting & Call for Interview
After processing the application, the applicant will be shortlisted by the respective departments applied for.

Information regarding applicants called for interview for all programmes will be sent by e-mail/SMS/Phone calls.

Interview & Final Decision
Applicants shortlisted for the interview, should bring original documents & complete the interview process.

Prescribed Fees can be paid (online/offline) for the selected course. In order to complete the admission process, original certificates with photocopies should be submitted on the date and time specified.

With an increasing number of companies & startups focusing on keeping up with the growth market trend, & more students graduating every year, there is both demand & competition in the job market. A dedicated Training and Placement Cell ensures our graduates stay ahead of the competition and are capable of meeting the market’s skill demands.
The placement cell takes initiatives to train UG & PG graduates for placement and takes part in inviting and organising recruitment drives. The primary objective of the cell is to facilitate a dialogue between prospective employers and the talent pool the college has cultivated, during which the recruiters can identify suitable candidates for their organisation.
Led by a full time placement officer and student representatives from each department acting as placement coordinators, the placement cell functions around the year, focus on the below areas.

❖ T. Thomas Auditorium is air-conditioned with a capacity of around 500 seating, equipped with WiFi and projector.

❖ Justice J. Kanakaraj Auditorium is centrally air-conditioned and can seat 700 people, equipped with WiFi and projector.

❖ Seminar Hall is air-conditioned with WiFi and projector, and can seat 50 people.

❖ Conference Halls are available with LCD projectors

❖ Smartboards are available in each department.

❖ The Sports Annexe has an indoor stadium.

❖ The College Playground has a 200 metre track.

❖ Computer Labs are two in number along with a Language Lab.

❖ Academy for Developing English & Personality Traits (ADEPT) - Language Lab The lab has 31 computers which have been enabled with Renet software which provides an interactive platform for improving study skills, soft skills, English grammar and English pronunciation. Each student is given the computer for 3-4 hours per month on a rotation basis for the first two years of all Undergraduate courses. The PG students are given free internet and can use the lab from 09.00 a.m to 04.00 p.m. They can take printouts and photocopies at a very nominal rate.

❖ Facilities for Differently Abled The college has amenities that make daily life easier for students with disabilities. All the classrooms are accessible by lift and staircases with hand railings. The Path to the main block and other areas has additional ramps for ease of access, we also have wheelchairs available for student’s use. DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE

❖ G Suite For Education - Learning Management System G Suite for Education was implemented in 2018 long before the pandemic, as a step forward in innovatively engaging with an increasingly tech savvy student community. The College has acquired a lifetime licence of G Suite for Education, formerly known as GAFE – Google Apps For Education. G Suite for education at CTTE College is accessible only by students & 4 teachers of our college with a specific domain mail ID assigned after admission. The primary app of this ecosystem is Google Classroom, a virtual classroom for sharing content, assignments & evaluation of assignments. Integrated with our classroom, Google Meet serves as our primary tool for live tutoring & safe engagement.

❖ E-Resources Lab for online learning resources and skill development equipped with high-speed internet, printing, scanning & photocopy facilities. Resource Lab is used extensively by research & postgraduate students and also graduate students for their projects.

❖ Google Sites – Each department, club & development cell hosts an official microsite from our G Suite platform. Managed by heads of the department, moderated by students, this initiative offers freedom, responsibility, accountability & ownership of their department activities & contributions. Maryland Library
