The college was established in the year 2008 at Madakasira of Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh. Currently, CAE Madakasira offers B.Tech Agricultural Engineering to its students at the undergraduate level and the admission in this course happens through AP EAMCET entrance examination. CAE Madakasira provides various scholarships to its students and keeps them motivated to perform well in academics. On the basis of the entrance test, CAE Madakasira releases its cutoffs and invites the students to take admission in the college. The college has an exemplary placement record where some top organisations from agriculture and allied sectors are coming on campus for the recruitment process. CAE Madakasira also provides various facilities to its students to make their stay in the campus easy and fun.

In this context, there is a need of Agricultural Engineering graduates to address the above said issues. The College of Agricultural Engineering was established on 6th November 2008 at Madakasira of Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh in the academic year 2008-09 with B.Tech(Ag.Engg) degree program. The geographical location of 13°56’25″N latitude and 77°18’42″E longitude with annual rain fall of selected location is 577 mm. The soils in the district are mostly light soils with less water holding capacity and sloppy in nature. College of Agricultural Engineering, Madakasira: The College Building has been constructed with a total out lay of Rs.5 crores . The building has total plinth area of about 51,559 sq.ft. with state of art facilities like library, Auditorium, laboratories, computer lab, workshops, hostels for boys and girls, play grounds etc.

College of Agricultural Engineering, Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Madakasira offers B.Tech Agricultural Engineering at the undergraduate level. This is the only programme which is currently being offered by CAE Madakasira. To secure admission in the B.Tech Agricultural Engineering programme of CAE Madakasira, the candidates must appear in Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET). Following the entrance test, the candidates will be required to appear in the counselling process. 40% of the seats offered by CAE Madakasira are reserved for Farmers Quota candidates. Some of the supernumerary seats for the candidates with 3-year Diploma in Agricultural Engineering will be filled by merit, based on the rank scored by the candidates in AGRIENGGCET enCAE Madakasira B.Tech Selection Process

Placement at CAE Madakasira
According to the data released for the year 2023 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for the Universities in Agriculture and Allied Sectors, out of 901 students of Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University who graduated in the batch of 2021-2022, 160 students got placed in various organisations and the median salary for the placed graduates stood at Rs. 4,00,000. Out of the remaining students, 365 students opted for higher studies.
Final year students of CAE Madakasira also undergo for an industrial attachment programme/internship with some reputed organisations for the period of 10 weeks.
