Since 1984, B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology is a renowned Quality Leadership Institution located at the greenest spot of Chennai near Tambaram. Crescent School of Law

Crescent School of Law has been established with the objective to produce high quality law graduates to cater for the ever growing need of such professionals both in the main stream legal as well as corporate fields. With this aim the CSL will run three courses separately 5-year Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Law; BBA LLB (Hons.) & Bachelor of Arts BA LLB (Hons).

The students of the CSL will come out of the School equipped with the best legal skills to be able to successfully face the challenges in their professional life.

Eligibility for BA/BBA LL.B(Hons.)

Candidates for admission to the first semester of the ten semesters degree programme in law shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the (10, +2) curriculum (Academic stream) prescribed by the appropriate authority or any other examination of any university or authority accepted by the Institution as equivalent there to.

The maximum age for seeking admission into a stream of integrated Bachelor of Law degree programmes, is limited to twenty years in case of general category of applicants and twenty-two years in case of applicants from SC, ST and other Backward communities.

Students who have a valid Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) score can also seek admission.

The eligibility criteria such as marks, number of attempts and physical fitness shall be as prescribed by the Institution from time to time.

Eligibility

Candidates for admission to the first semester of the four semester post graduate degree programme in law shall be required to have passed a degree in Law with at least 55% marks.

Placement

Placement Committee is responsible for Interacting with prospective employers and inviting them to the campus for recruitment at Crescent School of Law. The Placement Committee has framed the following rules to facilitate the process

Registration

Any Organization intending to participate in the Recruitment Drive can communicate their willingness by email or telephonically to the Placement Committee. The Recruiters may conduct Pre-placement talks to interact and ventilate students about crucial principal features of their organization, job profile, terms and conditions of employment, remuneration and other relevant information. The recruiters are advised to indicate their preferred date for such talks to the Placement Committee a week prior to their arrival.

Pre-interview Screening Process

Pre-interview Screening Process may be conducted any time before the final interviews. Recruiters are

free to determine their own policy for the process of shortlisting students. In case the recruiter has no policy of Pre-screening, the Curricula Vitae of all interested students shall be forwarded to the Recruiter and the list shall become Final Interview List.

Modes of Screening Process:

On Campus Placement Drive/Telephonic Interview/Video-conferencing

Final Interview

Preferred date and time of final interview shall be communicated to Placement Committee fornecessary arrangement of the same.

Disclosure of Offers

After the interviews, recruiters are required to make final offers to shortlisted candidates mentioning the roles, remuneration, location and other relevant terms and condition required to decide. A copy of offer letters shall also be sent to Placement Committee by the recruiter for the records. Acceptance/Rejection of offer shall be communicated by the concerned student to the recruiter. Copy of such communication shall also be marked to Placement Committee.
