D.K.M College was founded in June 1972 by vallal Sri .Krishnaswami Mudaliar. The Great Philanthropist took it as his life’s Mission to serve the cause of women’s education and thus this college took its shape.



Born at Doddipalli Village near Chittoor, Andhrapradesh in a poor family. Shri. N.Krishnasamy Mudaliar had his life from scratch as a bus driver. He waded through insurmountable adversities but succeeded in securing a lofty position in life. Simplicity, honesty, integrity, perseverance and devotion to duty were the virtues which raised him to the rank of a fleet owner. With his life’s labour and earnings, he created a permanent Charity Trust and started N.K.M. Higher Secondary School. Then D.K.M Women’s college was established in 1972.

Candidate should have passed (10+2) or High School Senior Secondary exam by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any equivalent exam conducted by any State Board or Equivalent. He/She should have secured a minimum 50% Aggregate with English as a subject. All SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5% in the minimum aggregate. Hostel
The capacity of the hostel is 700. Its functions including the discipline of the inmates are managed by a team of staff members along with higher officials. Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food will be served. Library with religious and other important books is available for the benefit of the inmates. Medical care during emergencies is also provided for all the inmates. Generator facility is also available to meet the power cuts and shutdown. Wi-Fi facility is available to enhance the knowledge of the students. Free Transport arrangement is provided for dropping students from the hostel to Bus stand.


Auditoriums

An auditorium  is located near the entrance of the college. The facilities such as LCD Projector for presentations, elaborate Audio arrangements are provided for the conduct of functions such as Seminar & Symposia efficiently.

An Open Auditorium is located in the campus premises. The Audio arrangements are provided for the conduct of college functions such as College Day, Convocation Day, and Freshers’ Day.

Canteen
Canteen is located adjacent to the main building of the college. A variety of South Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college with highest quality. Canteen staff takes extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the canteen.

Transport

College buses are plying from the different area to come to the college with free of cost. Students and staff can avail this facility by registering themselves in the office.

ATM
Indian Overseas Bank ATM is located in the college premises for the benefit of students and staff. The students can use the ATM facility to withdraw the money easily without wasting their valuable time unnecessarily in standing long queues.
