An Auditorium, with an acoustic design, to house around 300 audiences with multimedia accessories and an amphitheater with a green and lustrous lawn having a capacity of 1000 people is the place for various activities and functions.

The E-learning center has been fully equipped with the generous assistance of VTU where expert lecturers on various topics by eminent professors and professionals are made available to the students throughout the day. A high-speed (75mbps) Internet center is available on the campus. A language laboratory with advanced teaching aids is made available to all students.

COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET) ONLY FOR KARNATAKA STUDENTS:

The Government of Karnataka conducts common Entrance test for admission into various professional courses. The CET is generally conducted during in the month of May and the notification will appear in all leading newspapers. A merit list will be prepared based on the 50% weighatage for the marks of the qualifying examination and 50% weightage for the CET Marks for declaring the CET rank. Seat Matrix is announced indicating seat available in different college in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.

COMEDK BOTH FOR KARNATAKA AND NON-KARNATAKA STUDENTS:

The Comdek test for admision into various professional courses will be conducted all over India. The Comdek is generally conducted during in the month of May and the notifications will apepar in all leading newspapers. The COMEDK ranking is based on the performance of students in the COMEDK entrance test only. Seat Matrix is annmounced indicating seat aviailable in different college in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.

MANAGEMENT SEATS BOTH FOR KARNATAKA AND NON-KARNATAKA STUDENTS:

The qualifying examination is the 2nd PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by the State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject. General Merit Candidate should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the subjects. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE will be adopted.

Training and Placement Cell of Dr SMCE is established with a goal of not only securing placements for students but also to make them competent enough to face the corporate world. Training and Placement Department is headed by Ms. Sowmya R Raghavendra. We view it as a medium or way which provides vertical mobility to our students. The college has an exclusive Training & Placement centre to facilitate on- campus and off campus placement opportunities to the students.

T & P coordinators will represent their respective departments in the T&P Cell and assist the T&PO during the training programs, recruitment drives, etc in the form of maintaining attendance, updating student’s data base, etc.

The program is designed by professional trainers keeping in mind the importance of the all-round development of candidates. Infrastructure and Facilities:
Dr. Sri Sri Sri Shivakumar Mahaswamy College Of Engineering has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from Dr. Sri Sri Sri Shivakumar Mahaswamy College Of Engineering, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the Dr. Sri Sri Sri Shivakumar Mahaswamy College Of Engineering are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Library:

The Dr.SMCE Library located on the campus is housed in an area of 1000 sq.Mts. The library is having a collection of 20,377 volumes that includes 1120 volumes under the Book Bank and about 950 volumes under the SC/ST Book Bank. The collection includes reference works such as Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Hand Books, and Standards. The library subscribed to the VTU e-resources mandated by AICTE, that is DELNET, (Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, & Information Science Engineering. ) this e-resource can be accessed across the campus 24/7.

Girl’s hostel:

The girl’s hostel has a capacity for 300 students. Each student is provided with a cupboard, cot, table, and chair as well as English & Kannada newspapers. The students are taken care of by providing daily breakfast, and lunch. Snacks &dinner T.V for their entertainment. Sweet dishes and special dishes are provided on Saturdays & Sundays. The hostel timings are from 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM. There is a movement register for the inmates which is strictly followed. The hostel is guarded by 24 hrs by security guards. Solar water heaters and 24Hrs Power Supply (UPS or solar Power or Electrical Power)

Boys Hostel:

The boy's hostel has an initial capacity of 500 students. The students taking admission in 1st year are encouraged to reside in the hostel so that they are safe from ragging. Each student is provided with a cupboard, cot, table & chair as well as English & Kannada newspapers. There is T.V. & sports (both indoor & outdoor games)for their entertainment. We provided daily breakfast and lunch. Snacks &dinner, there is 24 hrs facility security guard

Auditorium:

A well-furnished auditorium with AC which can accommodate more than 1000 students is centrally located on the campus. The auditorium is routinely used for guest lectures, technical seminars, pre-placement training, and extra-curricular activities.

The college is well connected by trains and buses moving from Bangalore, Tumkur, Nelamangala, And Dabbaspete Town. Free College bus facility between college, Byranayakahalli Railway Station.
