Government First Grade College Byndoor, Udupi was established in 1983 by Government of Karnataka under the Department of Collegiate education. The college is established in order to make higher education affordable to the poor sections of the society. It has permanent affiliation from the Mangalore University for BA (HEP and HEK), B.Com and BBA programmes. The college is recognized under the 2f and 12 (B) status of the UGC Act. The College secured B Grade (CGPA of 2.05) in the first cycle of NAAC Accreditation in 2017. Currently, the college has an enrolment of 474 students pursuing BA, B.Com and BBA programmes. The college caters to the higher education needs of economically backward people. The demographic indicators show that more than 90% of the students belong to SC/ST and other backward classes, majority of the students being girls.

1. Applicants must log in to www.msrcasc.edu.in to access the admission application forms for the academic year 2022-2023.
2. Forms will be available ONLINE from April 2022 for UG and PG programs.
3. Fee for the application form has to be paid through the payment gateway (online payment).
4. Application form fee for UG courses is Rs.500 and for PG courses is Rs.1000.
5. Fees for the course should be paid on the day of admission.
6. Students are required to choose the same second language as their previous qualifying exam.
7. Documents to be kept ready while applying- soft copy of the applicant's recent passport-size photo, and signature to be uploaded with the application form.

Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of the Institute. The Institute has provided complete infrastructure for the effective functioning of the cell. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programs. It molds the diploma grads to join corporates. The cell is sensitized to function throughout the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students.

The candidates must be studying in Classes 11 and 12 at a recognised educational institution in India. Applicants must have scored at least 60% marks in the preceding class. The annual family income of the applicants from all sources must be less than or equal to₹2,50,000.

Library with a stock of 22000 books and subscriptions to periodicals, journals, and newspapers to augment the students learning. The nursing library is well stocked with the latest editions of quality books. Books with Indian and foreign editions are available for reference. There is also a contemporary virtual library with Internet access, multimedia resource services, access to computer databases, and telematics access. A maintenance library is available with national and international journals, which are made available via the Internet.

Sports

The college has a Sports facility for all students. Sports facilities are available in the institution. A playground with a 400-meter track. Outdoor and indoor games facilities are available in the institution Kabaddi and Kho-Kho courts, Volleyball and Ball badminton courts, and Athletic equipment. Indoor games- Chess and Carrom, Cricket ground. Sports facilities are available from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Cafeteria

Attached to the college is a canteen that caters to the needs of students and staff, providing hygienic food, delicious snacks, and delicious savory puddings for guests, with the tangy smells and tastes of spices filling the stomach.
