JSS Medical College, Mysuru, was started in 1984-85 and is imparting education in medical sciences (MBBS) course. It is recognized by the Medical Council of India and was affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore from 1995-1996. It has now become a constituent college of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research ( Formerly known as JSS University ) established under Section-3 of UGC Act from 28-05-2008.

JSS Medical College is an eminent medical education institution located at Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagara, Mysuru, Karnataka, India. Established in 1984 and is in the lush green campus of 43 acres, which is at a distance of 140 km from Bangalore. JSS Medical College was affiliated to the University of Mysore from 1984 to 1995 and later to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore till 2008.JSS Medical College is now a constituent college of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (Established under Section-3 of UGC Act) since 28-05-2008. The College is recognized by the Medical Council of India and the college aims at imparting excellent quality medical education that markedly improves the health sector and cater to the need of all strata of the society.

n our college, placements are good and faculty members are supportive. Placements: Almost 70-80% of students are placed from the recent batch of 2022. The highest salary package offered is 43 LPA by Amazon.
For PG (2-year) and PG (3-year) students, the median package offered during 2022 placements was INR 12.5 LPA and INR 19.8 LPA, respectively. JSS Medical College Placements 2022: A decline of almost 8% was recorded in the 2022 PG (2-year) median package when compared with 2021.
