The Institute was established in the year 1998, as Department of Business Administration of NMAMIT, was designated as Justice K. S. Hegde Institute of Management (JKSHIM) in the year 2006. This premier Institute is named after the great visionary and founder of the Nitte Group of Institutions. Late Justice K. S. Hegde was the former Judge of the Supreme Court and former Speaker of the Loksabha. The Institute offers a two-year full-time MBA program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is now a constituent unit of the Nitte (Deemed to be) University. The JKSHIM is one among the very few institutes in India accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), NBA, and is a member of the AACSB. It is also a research centre offering a Ph.D program under Nitte (Deemed to be) University. Over a period of two decades, JKSHIM has developed a high level of expertise in imparting impeccable quality management education. The Institute has also gained significant competence in imparting tailor-made short term programs to suit the needs of the industry. The use of cutting-edge technology on campus, such as online learning tools, softwares, simulations, LMS has enhanced our students’ abilities and helped them to stay ahead of the competition curve in their fields.

The Institute has academic collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania, USA. The students along with their faculty members from the University of Pennsylvania visit our Institute every year and engage our students in cross- country perspectives in education and research initiatives. The students of the Institute undertake industrial tours to global business hubs, local companies and take part in student driven clubs, conferences and social outreach programmes. The institute’s future- focussed curriculum is emphasisng on a more holistic, Indic, multidisciplinary and integrated student-centered approach to All Time Learning (ATL).

The Institute has a state-of-the-art 45,000 square feet of exclusive e-enabled campus with own library, facility for Executive education, Bloomberg finance lab, along with adequate Classrooms, Seminar halls, Conference rooms, and Auditorium and Nature-friendly outdoor learning space, Bahiranga.

A graduate degree under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern under any discipline, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized university. Students currently in their final year of graduation can also apply.

All students are imparted with rigorous training on tackling MCQ type aptitude tests by prospective employers as a part of their selection process.
Group Discussion & PI
Mock GDs and PIs are conducted on a phased manner from the very first year onwards to fine-tune the students and make them totally corporate ready.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INDIAN NATIONALS WHO HAVE PASSED CLASS 12 IN INDIA:

Merit Scholarships: Indian nationals who have passed Class 12 in India with >80% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in Class 12, are granted fee concessions and charged tuition fee as noted below:

Excellence Scholarships:
3 seats are earmarked for award of Excellence Scholarships.

Eligibility for Excellence Scholarships:
Indian nationals who have passed Class 12 in India, with a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in PCM subjects in the qualifying exam (OR) Candidates who have passed 10+3 Diploma in Engineering Examination in single attempt with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate
AND
with a NATA score of 110 or more.
Final selection will be based on inter-se merit of NATA score.
In case more than 1 candidate has the same NATA score, inter-se merit will be determined on the basis of Class 10 marks in Science & Mathematics. Selected students will pay a Tuition fee of Rs.90,000/- per annum only.

NOTE: The benefit of scholarships / fee concession is extended to subsequent years of study only if the student maintains good discipline and academic performance by clearing the semester examinations in the first attempt.
