The College
Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET) is established in the year 2009 by Indira Charitable Trust, Thiruvananthapuram, which is offering a wide range of business and societal activities in Higher Education, Hospitality and Tourism, Construction and Information Technology over the past few decades. RIET began its stride with four BTech programs in 2009, now offers BTech programs in eight branches of Engineering and Technology, two MTech/PhD programs in Civil Engineering, 2 year MBA program, 4 year BHMCT and five 3 year Diploma programs.

The college is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The College offers NBA Accredited Programs and is accredited by NAAC.

In the recent past, RIET has organised many programs of national importance. Smart India Hackathon (2018), Prime Ministers Koushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Skill Training for the benefit of the local community, and house one of the largest TCS-iON Online Testing Centre, start-up and Innovation activities for the benefit of the student community, etc.

The college provides value based education and strives to develop the overall personality of students by enhancing creativity, self-confidence, communication and leadership skills. The college has become a centre of excellence catering to the needs of higher education sector in the State of Kerala.

The campus of Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology also known as ‘Rajadhani Hills’ was built with the aim of providing state-of-the-art facilities to its students. A fully “Wi-Fi” enabled campus, with Hi-Tech classrooms makes education at RIET more qualitative. Along with academics, the campus also promotes the co-curricular activities of the students through college fests and good sporting facilities. The Institute also provides for a spacious food court, hostel facilities and bus facility

• The prospectus along with application form can be obtained from the office of the Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), Nedumparambu P.O, Alamcode, Attingal and from RIET Administrative Office, Rajadhani Buildings, East Fort, Trivandrum on payment of Rs.500 (Rupees five hundred only) in person.


• Applications can be sent by post by sending Rs.550 by MO or DD to the Principal, RIET. Application forms can also be downloaded from the website www.riet.edu.in. Such applications have to be submitted along with a Demand Draft of Rs.500 drawn in favour of the Principal, RIET, Administrative office, Rajadhani Buildings from any Nationalised Bank payable at Thiruvananthapuram.


• Applications submitted to the Principal, RIET should be complete in all respects. The candidate shall fill in all items in the application form in his/her own handwriting.
• Self attested copies of the following certificates/documents are to be submitted along with the application.
• 10th /12th Pass Certificate or equivalent.
• Mark list of qualifying examination (12 Std)
• Mark list of Entrance Examination (For Management Quota)
• Admit card of the entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (For Management Quota)
• Certificate of good conduct from the institution last attended issued within six months from the date of application.
• A Job Certificate of the sponsor.
• A Declaration from the NRI in the form attached.


•Applications not accompanied by required documents in proof of claims made therein will not be considered. Documents/ Certificates furnished after submission of the application will not be entertained. No opportunity will be given to incorporate any details or documents after the submission of the application. Late and incomplete application will not be accepted. The candidate at their own interest are advised to send the application by Registered post. RIET will not be responsible for non-receipt or late receipt of applications.

The Placement Cell
The placement cell ensures that all eligible students are given an opportunity to mark their presence in the industry. The cell aims to provide 100% placement assistance to our students. It consists of the placement coordinator and student placement representatives from each department.

Training Programs

The training programs are chosen based on a Training Need Analysis conducted among the students. This helps to deliver the right content of training to the required category of students. RIET has also shown keen interest in including Value Added Courses, which provides Certifications to the students on completion of the course.
Soft Skill Development Training Programs
Soft Skill development is included with the regular academic programs. This is headed by the Placement Officer who is assisted by faculty and student representatives from all departments. As a part of it, job oriented courses, special training programs, aptitude tests and group discussions are held periodically. SCHOLARSHIPS

100% Tuition Fees Scholarship for students who scored A+ in ALL SUBJECTS for Plus 2.

Scholarship of Rs. 2 lakhs for students who scored above 90% marks in Plus 2 exams.

The canteen is situated in 5th floor and consists of a massive and hygienic kitchen and a dining area which can accommodate up to 500 persons at a time, serves north Indian, south Indian and Chinese cuisines. The food served here is priced affordable.

Hostel mess is attached to the hostels for ease of access. We have separate dining hall for girls and boys. The food served here is according to the pre-prescribed menu and timings. The girls dining hall can seat up to 300 students and boys up to 400 students at a time.

Library & Digital Resource Center

Information and knowledge is the lifeline for learning be it the student or the faculty. RIET has one of the best Resource Centres designed to provide support to all engineering departments. The Central Technical library has over 40,000 books, 103 journals, volumes related to all branches of science, engineering and management. The students have access to International and national journals in addition to handbooks, standard manuals, technical reports, conference proceedings etc. The Digital Library in the campus provides access to archives, collection of e-books, e-Journals, CD-ROMs, text images and other online collections to scholars and learners.
Library automation is done using LINWAYS Software which facilitates all in-house operations of the library. Barcode based circulation system is used in the library. All the books are barcoded in the library & barcode laser scanners are used in the circulation counter for book transaction. Students can make use of their Identity card for borrowing books.

The college shuttles an exclusive fleet of air-conditioned luxury buses for its students, taking into account the convenience of students who depend on it. Routes can be realigned on request if such alignments are viable and / or convenient to students concerned with the particular route.
