"Well received is well learned" goes an age old saying. A set of philanthropists who have staunch belief and devotion on Aravindar , hailing from Pondicherry have established a trust in the name as Sri Aravindar Educational Trust in the Year 1998.

The ardent aim and desire of the Trust is to produce dynamic citizens for the country by imparting a board stream of advanced learning, infusing discipline and inculcating social responsibility to as to achieve Prosperity in life. Thus the Motto of the Trust has been coined as "EDUCATION FOR PROSPERITY".

The Trust started as "SRI ARAVINDAR ARTS & SCIENCE COLLEGE" in the year 2000. Over 22 years the College has grown as Post Graduation institution and recognized University Grants Commission under 2(f) scheme. The College is also a certified institution by ISO 9001:2008. Candidates holding a diploma in Commercial Practice (three years) certificate of State Board of Technical Education & Training, Government of Tamilnadu are eligible for admission to second year B.Com., degree course subject to ther conditions as prescribed by the Thiruvalluvar University.

Similarly candidates holding diploma (Three years) in Computer Science & Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering awarded by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamilnadu (or) any other diploma as equivalent are eligible for admission in second year of the B.C.A. degree course subjected to other conditions as prescribed by Thiruvalluvar University.

PG Admission

Our active placement cell helps the students to get approached by renowned companies from in and around Tamilnadu. The students are trained to develop their employability skills.

The placement cell keeps the student updated on the job opportunities available in the market. We invite people from corporate to guide & instruct our students in career opportunities.

The College is conducting Job Fair every year. More than 50 companies participating and about 1000 students from various colleges attending the Job Fair.

Caste wise scholarship is available. 20% students got the scholarship

Boys Hostel

Well, furnished hostel with a modern kitchen and spacious dining halls are available for gents . Boarding facilities are maintained at a reasonable cost and all the care is taken to ensure that a wide variety of homely hygienic foods are available to the students.

Library

Our library is well equipped with an adequate number of books such as General Books, Subject Text Books, Reference Books, Journals, Magazines, Encyclopedia etc. The textbooks are available in multiple copies for the reference of staff and students. As on date in our library 7145 Books, 21 Encyclopedia volumes, 8 journals and 36 magazines are available. Further 3 English New papers and 4 Tamil Newspapers also subscribed. It had an additional provision to provide books to the deserving students coming from economically weaker sections of the society.

Sports

The college has sports facilities for all students.

I.T Infrastructure

The college has a dedicated internet lab working 24 hours a day 6 days a week. We give free internet access to our students. We have 5 Mbps Tier-l International Satellite connectivity and also a 64 kbps leased line plus an ISDN line. The internet can be accessed from more than 150 computers. All the departments and the HOD's have internet connectivity. The campus intranet has important details about Test Schedules, Time Tables, Examination Schedules, Campus News etc., and a wealth of information about the college.

Cafeteria

A canteen is functioning within the premises of the College to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students. A subsidized mess is also available in the campus.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

Laboratories

The laboratories connected to the courses are well equipped with latest equipments and all the devices necessary to improve the practical skills of each and every student are provided. Equal weightage and attention is paid to the laboratory practical and test at par with theory classes.
