SJBIT Bangalore Admission Process

SJB Institute of Technology, Bangalore offers admission at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for admission. SJBIT BE admissions require an entrance exam (CET/COMEDK/JEE) to be cleared whereas the M.Tech and MBA course requires Karnataka PGCET and PGCET/KMAT respectively. Candidates seeking admission to the SJBIT Ph.D course are required to appear for the VTU Eligibility Test for Research conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technical University.

SJBIT Bangalore Application Process
Candidates are required to sign up on the official website and obtain a login ID and password.
The application admission form can be downloaded for the respective course with a payment of Rs 500 via this link sjbit.edu.in/admission.
Candidates should fill out the form with the mentioned details and submit it.
Candidates will be contacted via email for further communication.

SJBIT BE Admission Process (Through KCET)
Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT BE eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.
Candidates are required to fill out the application form.
Afterwards, candidates must take the KCET and wait for the declaration of the result and cutoff.
Candidates qualifying for the cutoff should apply for KCET counselling and fill in their choice of college and course.
Seats are allotted on the basis of merit of KCET rank, choice filled, availability of seats and participation in the counselling. (45% of the seats are filled through KCET)
After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their admission.

SJBIT BE Admission Process (Through COMEDK UGET)
Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT BE eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.
Candidates are required to fill out the application form.
Afterwards, candidates must take the COMEDK UGET and wait for the declaration of the result and cutoff.
Shortlisted candidates have to register for counselling and select SJB Institute of Technology.
Seats are allotted on the basis of merit of COMEDK UGET rank, choice filled, availability of seats and participation in the counselling. (30% of the seats are filled through COMEDK UGET).
After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their admission.

SJBIT MBA Admission Process
Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT MBA eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.
Candidates are required to fill out the application form.
Take the Karnataka PGCET and wait for the results and announcement of the cutoff.
Shortlisted candidates have to register and appear for Karnataka PGCET counselling and select SJBIT Bangalore.
After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their admission.

SJBIT M.Tech Admission Process
Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT M.Tech eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.
Candidates are required to fill out the application form.
Take the Karnataka PGCET and wait for the results and announcement of the cutoff.
Candidates who have qualified GATE need not give the PGCET.
Shortlisted candidates based on ranks of the entrance test are called for Karnataka PGCET counselling, conducted by KEA.
Seats will be allotted on the basis of the merit ranks of the candidates in Karnataka PGCET and the preferences of the candidates.
After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their admission.

SJBIT Ph.D Admission Process
Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT Ph.D eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.
Appear for Visvesvaraya Technological University Eligibility Test for Research (VTU-ETR).
UGC-NET(including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SLET / GATE/ CAT/having M.Phil degree/full-time (special) candidates/faculty members selected under QIP / FIP are exempted from the entrance test.
A merit list is prepared and shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview.
A consolidated merit list will be prepared based on the scores of the interview (70% weightage) and the qualifying examination (30% weightage).
After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their admission.

Placement & Training :-

The Dept. of HRD at SJBIT has an active placement cell which caters to the placement and training of our Engineering and Management students. Many companies have visited SJBIT for their requirement of fresh engineers and management students. SJBIT offers excellent infrastructure for conducting on-campus and pooled campus placement activities.

a) A separate HRD block with 1500 seating capacity auditorium, 4 Training Rooms, 10 GD rooms, 15 interview rooms and Control room.
b) A dedicated computer lab with 225 systems connected in single LAN to conduct on-line assessments and corporate related aptitude tests.
c) SJBIT is recognized by various MNC’s to conduct their recruitment process for fresher’s and lateral hiring.

SJBIT placements and the quantity of packages supplied have both increased dramatically in recent years. The highest package offered by SJBIT for the year 2023 is Rs 27 lakhs annually, while the average package offered by SJBIT is Rs 6 lakhs annually. Employers from the institute include Amazon, Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung, HCL, SAP, and Intel.

Scholarship :-

Meritorious Scholarships by Management:
Management has been granting scholarships to the meritorious student who performs well in their academics. The amount granted for this scheme is of rupees 35,000/- each.

Social Welfare Office Bangalore provides scholarship for SC, ST students whose annual income is below 2 lakhs.
Department of Technical Education Bangalore provides scholarship for SC, ST (B.E) students whose annual income is above 2 lakhs.
Department of Technical Education Bangalore provides scholarship for OBC students whose annual income is 11,000 & CAT-I students whose annual income is UNLIMITED.

MBA, M.Tech students Scholarship:

SJBIT Bangalore Facilities

SJB Institute of Technology provides facilities like boys hostel, girls hostel, library, sports, transport, cafeteria, auditorium, medical/hospital, IT infrastructure, laboratories, convenience store, bank, etc. SJBIT Bangalore facilities are available for students, staff and faculty members. The institute provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls students. The institute has a library, which has both physical and online resources. Both indoor and outdoor games are provided by the institute sports department. SJB Institute of Technology facilities like bank, medical clinic, etc are located within the campus. The institute transport ply between the campus and the city of Bangalore. The institute has an auditorium. The auditorium is very spacious and can accommodate a large audience. The IT infrastructure of SJB Institute of Technology controls and manages the networking of the entire campus.

Boys Hostel

The institute has spacious 2 seater and 3 seater hostels. SJB Institute of Technology boys hostel facilities include solar water heater, modern cooking appliances, a reading room, recreation centre and hostel mess. Senior faculty members look after the daily functioning of the hostels as wardens. CCTV cameras are installed for 24X7 surveillance of the campus. The hostels also provide laundry services and ATM facility.

Girls Hostel
SJBIT Bangalore girls hostel provides comfortable accommodation to the outstation students. The hostel rooms are well furnished and well ventilated. Solar water heater, modern appliances, laundry, ATM, reading room are some of the SJB Institute of Technology girls hostel facilities. Recreational facilities like indoor and outdoor games, TV are also available. For safety and security of the hostels, CCTV cameras are installed.

Medical/Hospital
The institute has an on-campus medical clinic. The medical clinic provides free medical treatment to the students, institute staff and faculty members. Insurance cover worth Rs. 1 lakh can also be availed.

Library
The institute library is a four-storied building. SJB Institute of Technology library facilities include textbooks, reference books on engineering, technology, science and management. The library resources also include national and international journals, periodicals, newspapers, magazines, CDs, DVDs, dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks, e-books, e-journals, etc. For online resources, the library has subscriptions of IEEE and ACM.

Sports
The Department of Physical Education and Sports of SJB Institute of Technology organises various sports activities and tournaments. The institute provides playgrounds for football tournaments, cricket tournaments, hockey, 400 metres track, etc. The institute also provides infrastructure and necessary equipment for indoor sports.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

SJB Institute of Technology has a huge auditorium. The auditorium is used for multipurpose activities like conducting events and seminars.

Transport

SJB Institute of Technology has a comprehensive well designed and scheduled transportation bus facility for the needy students, faculty and staff members from all extension of Bengaluru. The transport charges are kept nominal to support all users. SJBIT Transport committee will allot the route coordinators to monitor and guide students. In addition, during morning & evening peak hours free bus facility is provided from SJB Main arch circle to the institute campus to support students who are using BMTC buses to reach the campus.
