Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, (declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 ) Tumkur, was established vide MHRD GOI No. F.9-31/2006-U.3 (A) dated: 30/05/2008 of Govt. of India. Sri Siddhartha Medical College and Sri Siddhartha Dental College have been functioning as constituent colleges of Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education since 01/06/2008.
Further as per Govt. of India notification vide No. F.9-31/2006-U.3(A) Dtd. 16/12/2008, the UGC in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, included Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Maralur, Tumkur, as an off-campus constituent teaching unit of Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, Tumkur with effect from 06/03/2009.
At SSAHE the focus goes beyond education. SSAHE aims to prepare students for life – ingraining in them the psyche of the eternal student – Making them a Leader; A Leader who is ever a learner, driven by thirst for knowledge; a passion to excel and ignited with the desire to achieve success – Success for Life.

After qualifying for the NEET UG entrance exam, candidates must participate in the Karnataka NEET UG Counselling conducted by the Karnataka Education Authority (KEA). The next step is seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment is the last step to confirm admission.

Placement training plays a major role in shaping up the career goals of students. It is the dream of every engineering student to get placed in a top organization visiting their campus for recruitment. Keeping this key aspect into consideration, it is realized that training is important for engineering students to enhance their employability skills and achieve good placement in various industries.
At present, the competition for employment is increasing every day and placement has become a challenging task. Training of students and equipping them with life skills has become an important responsibility of the institution. Along with technical expertise, development of a holistic personality is also necessary. To meet out these requirements, a fully fledged training cell is operating in our college to enhance the capabilities of engineering graduates on par with the industry standards.
Training and Placement Cell in the Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education plays a vital role and is becoming a key department of the institute. As there are large numbers of Engineering and Technology colleges coming up in India, the competition for employment is increasing every day and the job of placement is becoming a challenging one. A full pledged placement cell is functioning in the Academy with a full time placement officer. Our Training and Placement Office is performing the following activities:

Campus recruitment drives are undertaken by inviting companies from the private, public and government sectors to place Institute’s students at entry level managerial positions. Placement assistance is provided industry sector-wise as well as by functional area wise. For this purpose, the Academy has an active national and international placement cell which keeps continuous interaction with industry, business houses, multinationals and the public sector undertaking with a view to provide appropriate and timely career opportunities to its students.
Training & Placement Officer:
A full pledged placement cell is functioning in our Academy/college with a full time placement officer appointed by the Board of Management.
Strategies for relating to the functions of SC/ST/OBC Cell
The SC/ST/OBC Cell addresses academic and non-academic issues and complaints of students/Faculty / Staff members from reserved categories. The Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education strives to maintain an environment where all communities can participate in academic and research activities without any sort of discrimination with respect to caste or creed. In order to maintain such an atmosphere, the SC/ST/OBC Cell is responsible for sensitizing the campus community about the importance of having diversity.
The cell is where any complaints about discrimination and/or harassment are to be brought up. We encourage victims to feel free to contact authorized person for the same. The cell strives to ensure that anonymity is maintained throughout the investigation.
University Level SC/ST/OBC Cell:
The University has constituted SC/ST/OBC cell at University level as well as all the institutions are also having separate institutional SC/ST/OBC Cells. The University SC/ST/OBC cell is headed by The Chairman (Vice-Chancellor) along with other members represented by various Institutes and departments and Registrar as Member Secretary of the Cell.
Institute Level SC/ST/OBC Cell:
Every Institute is having its own SC/ST/OBC cell to address any student/faculty/staff grievance. Institute level cell is headed by Head of the Institution (Dean/Principal). Students/Faculty/Staff members are requested to lodge their complaint / grievance to their respective Principal/Dean of the Institute.
If aggrieved upon decision of Institutional SC/ST/OBC cell, they may further contact to the member secretary of University Level SC/ST/OBC Cell.
Functions of the SC/ST/OBC Cell:
To circulate Government of India and Commission’s decisions and to collect regularly, on an annual basis, information regarding course-wise admissions to candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Castes in the Universities and Colleges for different courses, in forms prescribed, by a stipulated date, and to take follow up action, where required.
To circulate Government of India orders and Commission’s decisions and to collect information in respect of appointment, training of these communities in teaching and non-teaching posts in the Universities and Colleges, in suitable forms by a stipulated date and take follow up action where required.
To collect reports and information regarding the Government of India orders on the various aspects of education, training and employment of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Castes candidates, for evolving new policies or modifying existing policy by the Commission.
To analyze the information collected above and prepare reports and direct for onward transmission to the Ministry of Human Resource Development/University Grants Commission and such other authorities as may be required.
To deal with representations received from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Castes candidates regarding their admission, recruitment, promotion and other similar matters in Universities/Colleges.
To monitor the working of the remedial coaching scheme, if approved in the affiliated colleges and university.
To function of Cell for the Grievances of SC/ST/OBC students and employees of the university and render them necessary help in solving their academic as well as administrative problems.
To maintain a register for employment of SCs/STs/OBCs in the University and Colleges for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC communities for various posts in the university/colleges.
Any other work assigned from time to time to promote higher education among these communities suffering economic, social and education deprivations.

The thrust is to be fully equipped with advanced technologies such as medical, analytical and information devices, and to utilize.

Transport Committee
Preamble:
The Transport Committee provides the Academy with a standard procedure for the acquisition, enhancement, use, control, maintenance, repair and disposal of the Academy vehicles and for the management of related forms of transport engaged for Academy activities.
Composition and Operations:
The membership of the committee shall be composed of:
The Vice-Chancellor & Registrar holds delegated authority from, and is responsible for all aspects of the Academy Transport Committee
Dean(s) / Principal/s of the Constituent Colleges -members
Appointment and operations of the Committee members will be in accordance with Board of Management the Academy.
Accountability to the Board of Management:
The Committee has no authority to direct Administration or to commit Good Spirit Academy /College Division unless specifically authorized by the Board of Management through Board motion.
The Committee shall keep a record of its meetings and the Chair shall provide reports to the Board on all activities at the next Board meeting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Subject to the powers and duties of the Board, the Transportation Committee will perform the following duties:
Review transportation policies and provide recommendations to the Board of Management.
Review transportation administrative procedures and provide feedback to Board of Management
Hear delegations on decisions of the Transportation Administration and seek to resolve disputes
Prior to an appeal being brought forward to the Board of Management as a whole Network with transportation staff including technicians and bus drivers
Review the terms of reference for the Transport Committee annually and make recommendations to the Board of Management as required
Staff Support:
The Transport Officer or designate shall be the recording secretary to the Committee.
External Advisors:
The Committee may engage independent advisors at the expense of Good Spirit College/Institution Division when it deems necessary, subject to the approval of the Board of Management.
Transport Officer:
The Transport Officer shall be appointed by the Board of Management of the Academy and he works under the direction of the authorities of the Academy.
Functions of the Transport Officer:
Record on a central database all vehicle details and relevant information.
Maintain pick up and drop schedule with time table of all the constituent colleges and departments maintain vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition at all times
Maintain vehicles in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended service schedule by an authorized service provider
Direct that vehicles be operated only in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
Direct that continuing arrangements for the proper garaging and/or securing of vehicles are effected;
Be responsible for the interior and exterior cleanliness of vehicles;
Maintain a register of Authorized Users;
Direct that vehicles are used only by Authorized Users;
Direct that vehicles are never used for personal purposes;
Direct that only members of the Academy or other persons specifically authorized by the Section Head / Dean /Principal of colleges / Heads of Academy department or their nominee travel in Academy vehicles
Coordinate with the Deputy Registrar regarding any and all damage as a result of accidental or deliberate act and organize effective repairs by a suitable repairer at the earliest opportunity and submitted on a weekly/monthly basis to the Deputy Registrar.
Direct that all elements of this policy, as amended from time to time, are complied with ensure that smoking, administration of illicit drugs, betel nut chewing or consumption of alcohol is not conducted in vehicles provide a certification, each year for annual accounts purposes that, vehicles have been operated in accordance with this policy in the preceding calendar year and
Be responsible to ensure the Academy Logo is affixed to all Academy vehicles.
