JEE Main 2026 January 28 LIVE Updates: Shift 1 Question Paper Review, Student Feedback & Shift 2 Exam Schedule: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the last day of the JEE Main 2026 BE/BTech paper TODAY, January 28. The exam is being held in two shifts - shift 1 is ongoing and will end at 12 noon, and shift 2 will be held from 3 om to 6 pm.

JEE Main 2026 January 28 LIVE Updates: NTA is conducting the last JEE Main exam for paper 1 TODAY, January 28. The shift 1 exam is ongoing and will end at 12 noon. After the shift 1 ends, the JEE Main 2026 Jan 28 question papers with answer keys and solutions will be made available here, along with the live student reactions and analysis of the exam.

The shift 2 of the exam will commence at 3 pm. With shift 2, the first session 1 of the JEE Main 2026 paper will end. The paper 2 exam will be held on January 29 in one shift - 9 am to 12:30 pm.

JEE Mains 28 January Shift 2 Dress Code and Exam Day Guidelines

For the exam to be held on January 28, there is no specific dress code by NTA for male and female students. However, NTA has officially stated that shoes with a thick sole and garments with large buttons are not allowed. Also, Sikh candidates are allowed to carry religious or customary attire such as a Kara or Kirpan.

Apart from that, there is no specific dress code candidates have to follow on the exam day.

JEE Mains 28 Jan Exam Day Guidelines

Before leaving for the exam, candidates must ensure that they carry all mandatory items as prescribed by NTA:

Valid Photo Identity Proof same as the one uploaded in the online application form

Two Passport-size Photograph

Photo verification certificate - Only for those candidates who have received an email from NTA.

Do not carry:

Electronic Devices - Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, earphones, or any electronic gadgets.

Study Material or Written Notes - Any form of paper, notes, etc is not allowed.

Avoid wearing Accessories and Jewellery - Candidates should avoid wearing rings, bracelets, chains, underwired bras, or metal accessories, as they will create issues during security checks.

Toughest and Easiest Shift of JEE Main 2026 January Exam So Far

As per the analysis of the exam held on January 21, 22, 23 and 24, here are the toughest and easiest shifts so far:

Toughest shift of JEE Main 2026 January session: January 23 Shift 2. The overall exam was lengthy with a moderate to tough difficulty level.

Easiest Shift of JEE Main January session 2026: January 22 Shift 1. The overall exam was very balanced and moderate.

After JEE Main 2026 Jan Attempt Exams

JEE Main 2026 session 2 registration is expected to go live on January 31.
