NTA Releases NEET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key; Objection Window to Open After OMR Upload: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the provisional answer keys for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 conducted on May 3, 2026. The announcement was made through a public notice dated May 6, 2026, bringing relief and anticipation to lakhs of medical aspirants across India and abroad.

According to the official notification, the provisional answer keys for all question paper sets have been uploaded on the official NEET website. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now review the answer keys to estimate their probable scores before the declaration of results.

The NTA stated that the NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted successfully at various examination centres located across the country as well as overseas centres. With the release of the preliminary answer keys, students will get an opportunity to verify their responses and raise objections if they find discrepancies in the answers provided.

However, the agency clarified that candidates will be able to formally challenge the provisional answer keys only after the scanned copies of the OMR answer sheets are uploaded on the website. The detailed schedule regarding the upload of OMR sheets and the commencement of the challenge process will be announced separately by the NTA.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official portals for the latest updates related to the answer key challenge process, OMR sheet access, and further examination-related announcements. The NTA has also provided helpline numbers and email support for candidates seeking clarification or assistance regarding NEET UG 2026.

The release of the provisional answer keys is considered a crucial step in the NEET evaluation process, as it ensures transparency and allows students to contest any doubtful responses before the final answer key and results are prepared. Once the objection window closes, subject experts will review the challenges submitted by candidates, following which the final answer key will be published.

NEET UG remains one of India’s largest entrance examinations for admission into undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other allied medical programmes in government and private institutions across the country.
