VIT Bhopal International Master’s in Cybersecurity Management
VIT Bhopal University has launched the new International Master in Cybersecurity Management in partnership with the POLIMI Graduate School of Management (GSoM), Milan.
The total duration of the programme is 12 months, with students completing their studies through a 6+6 India-Italy model.
Under this academic structure, students will spend the first six months at VIT Bhopal University, where the focus will be on developing knowledge and skills related to the technical aspects of cybersecurity.
Following the completion of the India-based component, students will move to POLIMI GSoM in Milan, Italy, for the remaining six months. During this phase, the programme will focus on business strategy, management and strategic decision-making.
The primary objective behind introducing this international programme is to combine technical cybersecurity expertise with business and management capabilities. Such a combination is increasingly important as organisations look for professionals who can understand cybersecurity challenges while also making informed strategic and business decisions.
VIT Bhopal Cybersecurity Master’s: 6+6 India-Italy Study Model
The programme has been structured to provide students with exposure to two different academic and professional learning environments.
First 6 Months – India
During the first phase of the programme at VIT Bhopal University, students will focus on the technical side of cybersecurity and develop a foundation in important concepts and practical areas related to digital security.
Next 6 Months – Italy
For the second phase, students will continue their studies at POLIMI GSoM, Milan, where the focus will shift towards business strategy, management and decision-making in the context of cybersecurity and digital transformation.
Through this India-Italy learning model, the programme seeks to create professionals who can understand both the technological and managerial dimensions of cybersecurity.
What Qualification Will Students Receive After Completing the Programme?
After successfully completing the International Master’s in Cybersecurity Management, students will receive qualifications from both participating institutions.
The qualifications include:
- A Master’s Diploma from POLIMI GSoM
- A Master’s Diploma from VIT Bhopal University
- A 1st Level University Specialising Master’s Degree from Politecnico di Milano
These qualifications are expected to provide students with international academic recognition and exposure to an international learning environment.

Speaking about the launch of the programme, Dr. Ajay Kumar Phulre, Assistant Professor at VIT Bhopal, stated that the collaboration provides students with access to global teaching methodologies and industry connections.
According to him, the partnership combines technical learning with management education, enabling students to benefit from an academic model that brings together cybersecurity knowledge and strategic business understanding.
