DASA UG 2026 Registration Begins: Apply Now for NITs, IIITs & GFTIs Through CSAB; Check Eligibility, Fees, Choice Filling & Admission Process: The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur has officially commenced the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA UG) 2026 registration process for eligible international candidates seeking admission to premier engineering, architecture, and planning institutions in India. The online application form is now available on the CSAB official portal, and eligible candidates can complete their registration until August 3, 2026.

The DASA UG 2026 scheme provides admission to 15% supernumerary seats in prestigious institutions such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), IIEST Shibpur, Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), and several other participating technical institutions across the country.

Candidates belonging to the categories of Foreign Nationals (FN), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) can now submit their applications online by meeting the prescribed eligibility conditions and paying the required enrolment fee.

DASA UG 2026 Registration Now Open

The registration process for DASA UG 2026 has officially started, and eligible applicants can submit their applications through the official counselling portal.

During the application process, candidates must complete the online registration, upload the required documents, and pay the prescribed DASA Enrolment Fee (DEF).

DASA UG 2026 Admission: Participating Institutes

Admissions under DASA UG 2026 are offered for 15% supernumerary seats in the following institutions:

  • National Institutes of Technology (NITs)

  • Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)

  • Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur

  • Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs)

  • Other participating technical institutions across India

Eligible candidates can seek admission to undergraduate programmes in:

  • Engineering

  • Architecture

  • Planning

DASA UG 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before submitting the application form, candidates should ensure that they satisfy all eligibility conditions prescribed under the DASA scheme.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a Foreign National (FN), Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), or Person of Indian Origin (PIO).

  • Must possess a valid JEE Main 2026 score/rank.

  • Should have been born on or after October 1, 2001.

  • Must have secured at least 75% marks in Class 12 or equivalent examination.

Only candidates fulfilling all the above eligibility conditions will be considered for admission.

DASA UG 2026 Registration Fee

While completing the online application, candidates are required to pay the DASA Enrolment Fee (DEF), which includes:

  • Registration Fee: USD 300

  • First Semester Tuition Fee of the allotted institute

The application process will be considered complete only after the successful payment of the enrolment fee.

How to Apply for DASA UG 2026

Candidates can complete their online application by following these steps:

Visit the official DASA portal available on csab.nic.in.

Step 2

Click on the DASA UG 2026 Registration link.

Step 3

Log in using the JEE Main 2026 Application Number and Password.

Step 4

Complete the detailed online application form by entering all required personal and academic information.

Step 5

Upload the necessary scanned documents.

Step 6

Pay the prescribed DASA Enrolment Fee online.

Step 7

Submit the application form.

Step 8

Download and retain a copy of the submitted application for future reference.

Documents Required During Registration

Candidates should upload clear scanned copies of the following documents:

  • Passport

  • Recent Passport-size Photograph

  • Signature

  • Class 10 Mark Sheet

  • Class 12 Mark Sheet

Additional documents, if required, should also be uploaded in the prescribed format.

DASA UG 2026 Choice Filling Process

The facility for choice filling will become available only after successful online document verification.

Once the uploaded documents are verified, candidates will be allowed to submit their preferred:

  • Institutes

  • Academic Programmes

  • Branches

The last date for choice filling is August 5, 2026.

Candidates are advised to carefully arrange their preferences since seat allotment will be based on their submitted choices and merit.

Online Document Verification Before Reporting

Before candidates report physically to the allotted institute, the verification authorities will first examine the uploaded documents online.

Candidates will receive an online meeting link through their registered email ID.

During this virtual verification session, officials will review the scanned documents before granting approval for physical reporting.

Physical Reporting at the Allotted Institute

Candidates who receive a seat must physically report to the allotted institute on the date mentioned in theirProvisional Admission Letter (PAL).

Physical reporting is compulsory for completing the admission process.

Documents Required During Physical Reporting

Candidates should carry the following original documents while reporting to the allotted institute:

  • Provisional Admission Letter (PAL)

  • Original Academic Certificates

  • Original Mark Sheets

  • Degree Certificates (where applicable)

  • Any additional institute-specific certificates required for admission

Admission will be confirmed only after successful document verification.

Seat Acceptance Process

After receiving a seat allotment, candidates must:

  • Accept the allotted seat online.

  • Pay the prescribed seat acceptance fee.

  • Complete physical reporting at the allotted institute within the specified schedule.

Failure to complete any of these stages may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

Physical Fitness Verification

Candidates should note that many participating institutes also conduct a physical fitness assessmentduring reporting.

Applicants should therefore be prepared to undergo any medical or physical fitness verification prescribed by the respective institute before final admission.

Carry the Provisional Admission Letter

Candidates reporting for admission must ensure that they carry:

  • Provisional Admission Letter (PAL)

  • Original educational certificates

  • All required supporting documents

Admission remains subject to successful verification of original documents.

DASA UG 2026 Cutoff Based on JEE Main Rank

Under the DASA admission process, seat allotments are made based on the candidate's JEE Main 2026 All India Rank.

The cutoff published during counselling will also be presented in terms of JEE Main All India Rank, making the candidate's rank the primary criterion for admission into participating institutes.
