XLRI Amravati Campus: Expansion Strategy and Academic Offerings
The forthcoming XLRI Amravati campus is being planned to address the growing demand for quality management education. In its first phase, the institute intends to launch an integrated management programme with an intake capacity of 1,000 students. In addition to full-time academic programmes, the campus will also focus on industry engagement by offering executive education programmes for nearly 200 working professionals. This dual approach ensures that the campus caters to both fresh aspirants and experienced professionals from the corporate world.
The campus infrastructure will be developed to global standards, incorporating technologically advanced classrooms, modern academic buildings, and state-of-the-art research facilities aligned with international accreditation benchmarks. XLRI Director George Sebastian highlighted that the expansion goes beyond physical infrastructure, aiming to widen access to management education while preserving the institute’s strong academic legacy established in 1949.
Amravati, which is being developed by the state government as a hub for governance and institutional excellence, serves as a strategic location for XLRI’s third flagship campus after Jamshedpur and Delhi-NCR. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance the higher education landscape of Andhra Pradesh by providing students with access to high-quality management education closer to their region.
