The admission notification has been issued by the Department of Finance and Business Economics (DFBE), which offers these MBA programmes from the South Campus of Delhi University. As per the notification, CAT scores will be used as the primary criterion for shortlisting applicants.
The university has invited applications for two full-time, two-year MBA programmes for the upcoming academic year.
MBA Programmes Offered at Delhi University
Delhi University is offering admission to the following MBA courses:
- MBA in Business Economics
- MBA in Finance
Admissions to both programmes will be conducted through a joint admission process. Although the Common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), DU has clearly stated that the IIMs have no role in either the admission process or the teaching of these MBA programmes.
Eligibility Criteria for DU MBA Admission 2026
Candidates applying for DU MBA admission 2026 must fulfil the following eligibility conditions:
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from the University of Delhi or any other recognised equivalent institution
- Mathematics or Business Mathematics at the Class 12 level is mandatory
- Candidates who are appearing in the final year of graduation in 2026 are also eligible to apply
- Seat reservation will be applicable as per Delhi University norms and rules
How to Apply for DU MBA 2026
Delhi University has specified that the entire application process is online. Eligible candidates must submit their applications through:
- The official DU admission portal, or
- The Department of Finance and Business Economics (DFBE) website
Applications submitted through offline mode or hard copy will not be accepted under any circumstances.
DU MBA Application Fee Structure
The application fee depends on the number of programmes selected and the candidate’s category:
For General Category Candidates:
- ₹2,000 for two programmes
- ₹1,200 for one programme
For SC/ST/Divyang Candidates:
- ₹1,000 for two programmes
- ₹700 for one programme

Selection Process for DU MBA Through CAT
The initial shortlisting of candidates will be based on their CAT scores, along with other parameters as specified by Delhi University in the admission notification. Any subsequent stages of the selection process, if applicable, will be conducted solely by Delhi University.
