The extension has been provided in the interest of candidates participating in the first round of the UGMAC 2026 counselling process.

Extension Announced Through Latest BCECEB Notice

The latest update has been issued under Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/04 dated August 31, 2026. The notice is a continuation of the earlier Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/03 dated August 25, 2026, which had provided details regarding the Round 1 document verification process.

Under the revised arrangement, the deadline for completing document verification has been extended by one day, from August 31, 2026 to September 1, 2026.

Candidates who have been allotted seats under Round 1 should take advantage of the extended timeline and complete the required verification and admission-related formalities within the revised deadline.

Courses Covered Under UGMAC 2026 Counselling

The UGMAC counselling process is being conducted for admissions to several undergraduate professional courses in Bihar. The Round 1 document verification extension covers candidates seeking admission to:

  • MBBS

  • BDS

  • B.V.Sc. & A.H.

  • B.F.Sc.

The admissions are being carried out for eligible seats available in Government Medical Colleges, Government Dental Colleges, Veterinary Colleges, the College of Fisheries and Private Medical and Dental Colleges of Bihar.

Important Relief for Round 1 Candidates

The extension provides additional time for candidates who were unable to complete their document verification by the earlier deadline.

Candidates allotted seats in the first round should not delay the process and must ensure that their required documents and certificates are submitted and verified within the newly announced timeline.

Failure to complete the necessary verification process within the prescribed period may affect the candidate's admission process and seat allotment status. Therefore, candidates are advised to complete all formalities well before the revised closing date.

Other Counselling Rules Remain Unchanged

Apart from the extension in the Round 1 document verification deadline, all other terms and conditions of the UGMAC 2026 counselling process will remain unchanged.

The Board has clarified that the existing provisions mentioned in the earlier counselling notification, including Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/01 dated August 7, 2026, will continue to apply.

This means the latest announcement is specifically related to the extension of the document verification deadline and does not introduce any fresh changes to the remaining counselling rules and conditions.

What Should Allotted Candidates Do?

Candidates who have received a seat under the UGMAC 2026 Round 1 counselling process should immediately ensure that they have completed or are prepared to complete the required document verification process.

Students should:

  • Check their Round 1 seat allotment status carefully.

  • Keep all required original documents and certificates ready for verification.

  • Complete the document verification process within the revised deadline.

  • Ensure that all admission-related formalities are completed as per the applicable instructions.

  • Follow the official counselling notices for any further changes or announcements regarding subsequent rounds.

Earlier Round 1 Schedule

The Round 1 provisional seat allotment result for UGMAC 2026 had already been announced, following which candidates were required to proceed with the next stages of the admission process.

The earlier Round 1 schedule included downloading the allotment order and completing document verification and admission formalities within the prescribed period. The latest decision gives candidates an additional day for completing the document verification requirement.

The revised deadline of September 1, 2026 is now the important date that Round 1 candidates must keep in mind.
