The IITs provide a wide range of undergraduate academic programmes, which include Bachelor’s degrees, Integrated Master’s programmes, and Dual Degree options in disciplines such as Engineering, Sciences, and Architecture. In addition to these standard offerings, certain IITs also provide enhanced academic choices such as BTech (Honours) programmes, minor specialisations, and interdisciplinary dual degree courses.
The major programmes offered by IITs along with their minimum duration are listed below:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BTech): 4 years
- Integrated Master’s Programme: 5 years
- Bachelor–Master Dual Degree Programme: 5 years
- BTech (Honours): Offered by select IITs as an advanced option in addition to the regular 4-year BTech programme
- Minor Programmes: Available at select IITs and can be pursued alongside BTech or Dual Degree programmes
- Interdisciplinary Dual Degree: Offered at some IITs, allowing students to complete a Bachelor’s degree in one department and a Master’s degree in another
Applicants must fulfill the prescribed educational qualifications and eligibility requirements to apply for any of the above-mentioned programmes.
