IIT Mandi MTech Admission via COAP 2026 Begins: Apply Before April 17 Deadline: IIT Mandi has commenced the admission process through COAP 2026. Candidates who have successfully qualified the GATE exam can visit the official website of IIT Mandi, update their COAP ID, and complete the application submission before April 17. IIT Mandi is inviting applications for admissions through GATE COAP 2026. The online registration process is currently underway, and the final date to apply is April 17. Candidates can access the official website at www.iitmandi.ac.in. MTech admissions at IIT Mandi through GATE 2026 are offered in the following programmes -

MTech in Structural Engineering (valid GATE score in Civil Engineering)
MTech in VLSI
MTech in CSE (Valid GATE CSE or DA scorecard)
MTech in Power Electronics and Drives (valid scorecard in Electrical Engineering)
MTech in Biotechnology (valid GATE score in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related areas)

IIT Mandi GATE COAP 2026 Application Fee

Applicants must submit their forms through the SAMARTH portal of IIT Mandi. Those possessing a valid GATE scorecard are required to register on COAP, as the COAP registration number is essential for completing the application form. The application fee is INR 200 (for Gen/EWS/OBC/OBC (NCL)/Transgender/Foreign Nationals) and INR 100 (for women/SC/ST/PwD). The results will be declared on the COAP portal.

Candidates who have completed or are completing their BTech degree from IITs with a CGPA of 7.5 are exempted from submitting GATE 2026 scores. However, the CGPA requirement is relaxed for certain categories as follows -

OBC (NCL) - 7.00 CGPA
SC/ST/PwD - 6.5 CGPA

The selection process will be conducted based on written tests, interviews, counselling, spot admissions, or a combination of these methods. Final selection will consider GATE performance, academic grades, marks in the qualifying examination, undergraduate records, and other relevant criteria.
