The National Law University (NLU) Delhi will release the AILET 2026 First Merit List tomorrow, January 8. The list will feature candidates who have been provisionally shortlisted for AILET 2026 admissions. Applicants who registered for counselling will be eligible to access and download the AILET 2026 first merit list PDF from the official portal, www.nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. As per the official timeline, the AILET 2026 first seat allotment list will be announced at 6:00 PM. To view the merit list, candidates may be required to log in using their registration number and date of birth.
The merit list will be released in PDF format, and candidates will not be required to log into download the file. The category-wise AILET merit list will include the following details:
- Application Number
- Roll Number
- Marks Obtained
- All India Rank (AIR)
How to Download the AILET 2026 Round 1 First Provisional Merit List
Candidates can follow the steps given below to download the merit list:
1. Visit the official website at www.nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
2. On the homepage, click on the link titled “1st Provisional Merit List (BA LLB)”.
3. A PDF file containing the AILET merit list will appear on the screen.
4. Download the AILET 2026 merit list and save it for future reference.
What Happens After the Release of the AILET Merit List?
Once the merit list is released, candidates who have been selected must pay the provisional admission confirmation fee within the stipulated deadline. If a candidate fails to make the payment within the given time, the admission offer will be cancelled, and the seat will be allotted to the next eligible candidate as per the merit order. Candidates who decide not to accept the offered seat will not be considered again under any circumstances.
AILET 2026 Admission Fee Payment
NLU Delhi will publish a separate merit list for each counselling round, and seat allotment will be carried out strictly based on a candidate’s position in the AILET 2026 merit list. The AILET 2026 merit list PDF will include the names of candidates who have been provisionally allotted seats at the university. To confirm admission, shortlisted candidates must pay a provisional admission confirmation fee of INR 50,000. The payment window will remain open from January 8 to January 14.
What After the Release of the AILET Merit List?
Following the publication of the AILET merit list, selected candidates are required to submit the provisional admission confirmation fee within the prescribed deadline. Non-payment of the fee will lead to cancellation of the admission offer, and the seat will be passed on to the next candidate in the merit list. Moreover, candidates who choose to decline the offered seat will not be reconsidered at any stageof the admission process.
