The Adani Group has introduced 24 completely funded scholarships for students enrolled at India’s top business schools as part of the 2025–27 batch of the Adani Accelerated Leadership Programme (AALP).
The selected scholars, representing the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) at Bangalore, Calcutta, and Lucknow, along with the Indian School of Business (ISB), were officially honoured at the Group’s headquarters in Ahmedabad. The ceremony was led by Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) and Director of Adani Cement.
The scholarship announcement underscores the Adani Group’s ongoing focus on advancing inclusive leadership development and supporting India’s growth journey, the release noted.
The AALP Scholarship aims to ensure that promising management students are not limited by financial constraints. Candidates are selected through a comprehensive evaluation system that integrates academic distinction with proven financial need, ensuring that merit takes precedence regardless of personal background, the release stated.
Speaking to the scholars and
their families, Mr Adani remarked:
"This is a scholarship programme. It is conviction. At the Adani Group,
we believe talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not. These scholars
are here because of merit. They competed nationally, proved their excellence
and earned their place. Our role is to ensure that access, exposure and
mentorship match their ambition so they can lead India's next phase of
growth."
The 2025–27 cohort showcases the strength and diversity of India’s next generation of leaders.
Among the recipients is Anand Babu Kamineni, a first-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) student at IIM-Calcutta, who secured a position in the top 0.1 per cent in national-level competitive examinations such as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), the Common Admission Test (CAT), and the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Coming from a small village in Andhra Pradesh, his academic journey illustrates how access to opportunities can amplify talent nurtured through determination.
Ayush Srivastava from IIM-Lucknow brings hands-on experience of training more than 500 engineers in advanced oil and gas systems and spearheading major technology upgrades in European offshore operations. His profile reflects the combination of technical expertise and managerial acumen needed in a globally integrated economy.
The batch also features scholars like Madhu Gupta of IIM-Calcutta, who has managed extensive operational teams with a strong emphasis on safety and execution excellence, and Kanav Bansal, whose early professional contributions to high-impact systems resulted in measurable financial gains. Collectively, the scholars demonstrate analytical strength, operational proficiency, and resilience across diverse industries.
In addition to financial backing, AALP offers structured industry exposure, mentorship opportunities, and engagement with large-scale infrastructure and enterprise ecosystems, effectively bridging academic learning with real-world operations.
As India advances its growth aspirations, deeper collaboration between academic institutions and industry stakeholders will be vital in strengthening leadership capacity. Through AALP, the Adani Group seeks to build a pipeline of leaders rooted in excellence, opportunity, and accountability, the release said.
The 2025–27 scholarships represent the ongoing expansion of AALP as a platform where ambition is supported by access and individual success contributes to broader national progress, it added.
