IGNOU 2026:Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced an extension for the January 2026 session registration. The application window for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes will now remain open until March 30, 2026. Candidates planning to appear for the exams must complete the online registration process and pay a late fee of INR 200.

Students can complete the registration by visiting the official portal www.ignou.samarth.edu.in.  It is important to note that this extension does not apply to Semester-based programmes.

Candidates can follow the steps below to complete the registration for the IGNOU January 2026 session exams:

• Go to the official website at www.ignou.samarth.edu.in

• Log in using your username and password

• From the dashboard, select the option to register for ODL and online programmes

• Pay the late fee of INR 200

• Verify all the details carefully and submit the application form

• Download and keep the confirmation page for future reference
