Marwadi University Plans ₹1,000 Crore MoU with Gujarat Government to Boost Education Infrastructure: Marwadi University is preparing to host the esteemed Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences (VGRC) after the successful execution of the Vibrant Gujarat initiative. The conference, organised by the Government of Gujarat, is scheduled to take place from January 11 to January 12, 2026.

With a vision to position not only the Saurashtra region but the entire state of Gujarat as a global hub for education, the university has submitted a proposal amounting to ₹1,000 croreto sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Education Department, Government of Gujarat. The proposed investment aims to develop state-of-the-art academic infrastructure, including new academic blocks equipped with advanced laboratories, modern sports facilities, and next-generation hostel amenities. In addition, the plan includes the establishment of a dedicated 10,000 sq. ft. innovation and start-up centre, along with a separate academic block for continuing education focused on working professionals and entrepreneurs.

The VGRC, centred around the theme “Vocal for Local,” will be organised across four zones of Gujarat—North Gujarat, Saurashtra–Kutch, South Gujarat, and Central Gujarat. The event is expected to witness global participation from countries such as Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and the Netherlands. It will also feature the presence of prominent international organisations, including JETRO, ICBC, USISPF, the World Bank, and the Russian Federation.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhruv Marwadi, Trustee, Marwadi University, said, “We are privileged to host the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences for the Kutch and Saurashtra regions. Over the two-day event, participants will engage in a wide range of activities, including seminars, exhibitions, MoU signings, B2B and B2G meetings, buyer–seller interactions, and vendor development programmes. The agenda will cover diverse and contemporary themes such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Marketing, Sustainability, Circular Economy, and Auto & Precision Engineering, among others.
