As per the latest update, the qualifying cut-off for Round 3 has been significantly reduced across categories to ensure optimal utilisation of vacant PG medical seats. The revised cut-off details are as follows:
- Unreserved (UR): 7 percentile, corresponding to a score of 103
- UR–PwD: 5 percentile, corresponding to a score of 90
- SC / ST / OBC: 0 percentile, with a minimum score of –40
Officials have clarified that this substantial reduction has been implemented as a one-time measure to fill remaining vacancies in MD/MS and PG Diploma courses across medical colleges in India. Candidates who meet the revised eligibility criteria can participate in Round 3 counselling, which is considered the last major chance for admission through NEET PG 2025.
Medical education experts note that such a steep cut-off relaxation highlights the availability of unfilled seats and provides renewed hope for borderline candidates. Eligible aspirants are strongly advised to complete their choice filling and locking within the stipulated timeline and closely follow MCC’s official notifications to avoid missing this opportunity.
Candidates must ensure that all required documents are in order and remain vigilant regarding reporting schedules and allotment results. With no further relaxation expected beyond this stage, Round 3 stands as a decisive phase in the NEET PG 2025 counselling process.
