BLDEA (Bijapur Lingayat Education Association) is a leading education organization in the North Karnataka region. It has a legacy of more than 100 years and 75 education institutions under its banner, which comprise professional institutes, colleges of humanities and social sciences, public schools and research institutes.

Applications are invited from the eligible students who have passed PUC/10+2 equivalent examinations for admissions to various courses in BE, B.Arch, MBA, MCA & M.Tech for the Academic Year 2023-24 as per the details given hereunder:

Placement Training

The placement cell actively carries out an essential activity of providing placement training to bridge the gap between industry and academia. The training module developed by the placement cell consists of three phases.

• In Phase 1, which takes place in the second year, students receive training in life skills, communication skills, and other essential areas.
• In Phase 2, conducted in the third year, focuses on aptitude training, reading skills, and other relevant aspects.
• In Phase 3, held in the fourth year, students receive technical training, guidance for group discussions, personal interview skills, and more.

In addition to the training module, students are exposed to the IT industry through the Infosys Campus Connect program. Industry experts deliver talks on their expertise and motivate the students.Placement training plays a vital role in shaping the career goals of students. Every engineering student aspires to secure a job in a top organization that visits their campus for recruitment. Recognizing the importance of training in enhancing employability skills and securing good placements, the institution emphasizes the significance of comprehensive training for engineering students.In today's competitive employment landscape, securing placements has become increasingly challenging. Thus, training students and equipping them with life skills is an important responsibility of the institution. In addition to technical expertise, developing a well-rounded personality is crucial. To fulfil these requirements, our college operates a dedicated training cell that focuses on enhancing the capabilities of engineering graduates to meet industry standards.The objectives of the Training Program are as follows:

• Ensuring 100% employment for all students.
• Identifying the core competencies of students.
• Providing training to meet industry expectations through Career Development Programs.
• Building confidence and fostering the right attitude among students.
• Enhancing communication skills.

The Placement Cell carries out various activities, including creating awareness about career planning and mapping, equipping students with life skills, providing personality development training, and organizing training programs in quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and verbal reasoning through external training organizations and in-house trainers. The cell also conducts mock interviews to prepare students for professional interviews and trains them in group discussion techniques. Furthermore, online tests and written aptitude tests are conducted to assess students' abilities.

Hostel

Providing Safe and Secure Accommodation: A Home Away from Home

At our college, we understand the importance of a comfortable and secure living environment for our students. We have separate facilities for boys and girls, ensuring their privacy and safety. Our caring wardens and security measures create a pleasant and nurturing atmosphere, allowing students to focus entirely on their academics.

Our hostels are equipped with the best amenities to cater to the needs of our students. With internet access and well-equipped lab facilities, students can stay connected with their families and friends outside while enjoying a close-knit community on campus. The fully furnished standard rooms provide a comfortable and relaxed space for students to unwind and spend quality time with their friends.

For our female students, we have an elegantly constructed Girls' Hostel on campus, offering two, three, and four-seater rooms. The hostel ensures hygienically prepared nutritious food, and the recreation room has a TV and various games. Internet facilities are also available to keep them connected with the outside world. We prioritize exemplary discipline while providing freedom for personal growth, making the hostel feel like a home away from home.

The safety and well-being of our students are of utmost importance to us. The wardens in both hostels act as guardians, ensuring the students' welfare and maintaining a secure environment. To create a respectful and inclusive community, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging, both on our campus and in our hostels.

Library

The library facilitates access to a number of journals through its participation in consortia, such as VTU Library Consortium. The library also subscribes to several journals (Print Version) directly from publishers as well as through reputed subscription agencies. The library has developed collection in every possible area of interest to the campus community. To support the research activities, library subscribes core collection (over 2000+) e-journals, e-databases, e-books and others. Library has created an excellent infrastructural facility with all required software tools and technologies. Library services have been fully automated and are accessible on and off campus through remote access facility. At present, users can consult more than 91500 books (available on shelves), over 24100 titles and more than 24352 electronic books and journals.

The library operations are automated using KOHA (21.11.05) open source integrated Library management software and hosted on cloud. The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) which is on public domain enables users to search documents in possession of the library. OPAC enables library users to know their checkout status, issue history and users can place online reservations, browse for new additions of books, journals subscribed. A separate e-resources section is provided in the library to browse CDs and DVDs of books, thesis and dissertations. The Library has developed institutional Digital Repository (IDR) using open source software Dspace. This step will greatly enhance the library efficiency in making the resources available to the academic community at large and also enable the institute participate in various inter-library initiatives at national and international levels.

The Library is providing extensive research support services to the research scholars and faculty members. The library using Turnitin, a leading academic plagiarism tool to improve the quality of research publications. Library is constantly striving to identify and adopt the emerging academic and research support tools and helping the institute in achieving its vision and mission.
