Overview:

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Ayurveda) or B.Pharm (Ayurveda) is a four-year undergraduate program that combines Pharmaceutical Sciences with the principles of Ayurveda.  This Ayurveda program primarily focuses on the principles and practices of the ancient system of medicine that originated in India.

The B Pharma in Ayurveda program is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of Pharmaceutical Sciences integrated with the principles of Ayurveda. This course provides students with an in-depth understanding of Ayurvedic concepts, medicinal plants as well as traditional therapies.  Students learn about the fundamentals of Ayurveda, including the three doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) and their role in maintaining a person's health.  They also study the concept of Prakriti, which refers to an individual's unique constitution. 

Graduates can work in the Manufacturing and Consumer sectors for Ayurvedic products, including Drugs, Nutraceuticals, and Cosmeceuticals. They can also work in the Food and Drug Control Administration of the State.
