DGCT is situated on a huge and sprawling 10.18 Acres of lush green land with a massive campus, Opposite Salem Airport, Sikkanampatty (P.O.) Omalur(Tk) Salem, Tamilnadu.

Thisautonomous college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is accredited to the prestigious Anna University, Chennai. The College was recently conferred with an Autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) New Delhi and Anna University, Chennai. DGCT has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) at B++ Grade. The College is ranked in the band of 201-300 in the Engineering category by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024.

Dhirajlal Gandhi College of Technology (Autonomous) has a wide range of courses to offer as options. In the UG category it has 9 options of which 6 are B.E. Courses, and 3 B.Tech courses. In the PG level it has 4 M.E options to offer.Fee structure for all B.E, Lateral Entry Courses, M.E Degree Courses are strictly as per Government Notification.
The College offers 5 categories of Student Scholarships based on Caste Quota, Merit and Sports Categories for deserving students.
